A few Turks conquered many Greeks, converted Greeks to Islam and forced marriages with Turks, that is most modern Turks come from. Don't the Turks think they look completely different from the Central Asian Turks (Mongols)?

All these arguments about the national origin of genes is pointless. The reason they call some thing like Greek or West Asian is very arbitrary. They can easily call the Greek South Balkan to be neutral or the West Asian Turkish or Armenian or anatolian or Fars Caspian or Caucasian depending on the person naming it. Basically genetics is about sex and who your ancestors were sleeping with and producing babies. Most genetic test wotn take you back past 1000 years. So a Turk And Greek Cypriot is basically simillar becasue they share same set of ancestors for the past 1000 years or even 500 years or so.
