My kid got into lego last year and I picked up the entire line of this City Space sets throughout the year as they went on sale. I’m so glad Lego released this to complete the theme. I wonder what it will evolve into next!

This kinda has Lego Starfield vibes

It's really odd that the habitation module has two openings and the airlock module has none. You would think that 1 open connection, and 1 closed for each would make more sense so you could have access between them, as well as outside access from the hab module via the airlock. I would tweak the build if I were building it myself.

This feels like such a love letter to the original Cosmic Fleet Voyager!

Not a LEGO space fan, so I don't think I'll buy it.
But I fully agree with your review: it looks fantastic and definitely one of the best gift for a boy!

I love it! It takes me back to the days of the Battlestar Galactica modular ships from way back in the day. I just googled to see how many sets use this modularity! 😂 Yeah I'm sure this really dates me. But this system is VERY exciting!!!

I'm absolutely loving this little sub theme. The sorts NASApunk aesthetic hits perfectly for me, and I love the way the divisions are separated by color

Mars mission shuttle revamp

I love your review, you don't sound like a spoiled brat or too entitled like the other reviews I've watched. I understand there are painpoints, but there's always a way to go around them especially if its only for USD80.00 under the Lego City theme.

This is the kind of set I've always wanted ever since the 90s! Now a dad, my inner space kid is happy.

I was initially a bit underwhelmed by the modularity when it was revealed, but seeing how much you can really do with it has totally convinced me, this looks like an awesome set

So good that it has me rewatching your reviews of other City Space sets that share this modular system, so cool!
I really hope this sells well and Lego expands on the idea with more modular spaceships and bases
But even if they don't, I'm just glad we got this one

A great sub-theme, but with Star Trek coming soon, I expect this sub-theme to be retired.

This set is exactly what the line needed (had huge crane base, dome base, 2 big rovers, a nifty small starship and a medium transporter and a space station) . This is the bigger modular starship that doesn't just look like a train in space. I LOVE this set so much .

Wish they made more sets in this line, but maybe they will keep on rolling with 1 or 2 every quarter or so.

Lego already messed up the connections in the two new latest Blacktron spaceships. And here the side connectors are also a bit different.. :/

The little flip down bed and food storage in the large compartment is such a fun little touch.

With how consistently we're getting these space releases, Lego has essentially released a new Space theme but under the strong and valuable City brand. I only wish we could see this type of work for more unique themes such as Space Police I-III, but I'm very happy with what we're getting. W.

You know I wasn’t sure just how modular this spaceship could be, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much you could rearrange things!

I really like that modular system! Reminds me a bit of the old Life on Mars lego set from the 2000s

This larger space ship is uninspired.

It doesn't offer any playability features that the other sets do not.

Yes it has the modular design but all of the City Space sets have this. And the interior of the modules are blank, boring, and uninspired. Lego can't just keep pitching the white/orange clip in module as the main playability point and expect this alone to make their sets worth buying. The Space station already does modularity x100 compared to this set. This is just the Command Rover with wings: how boring is that? At least the rover has a small crane.

The smaller Interstellar Spaceship has a cool play feature where you push the energy pack in and the ship's thrusters splay out for warp speed. What unique play feature does this ship have? Nothing. Zero. Unimaginative.

Missed opportunity. Doesn't excite me at all. Boring. Lego took a very boring and empty orange module with nothing inside of it that is interesting and put big wings + cockpit on it using the black/white/orange asethetic and went "Ta Daaa!!!". How lazy is that?

Man I wish we'd get a Subnautica theme. Really lean into base building and some good monster/vehicle builds.

I love the modularity of a lot of recent lego themes. The Hogwarts from a few years ago was amazing because it was completely modular. While I was waiting for more sets to release I was able to make it all look good until I could get the entire castle. Got these from last year for my niece and she loved them.

I love the new minifigs! But I'm slightly upset that NOW in this single set (so far) we're getting a new design on the suits. I have all the new city space sets so it kinda bugs me that I no longer have uniformity with my figs since theres now three random figs with different suits. I actually like this design better so now it makes me wish this is what we've been getting from the start.

Compared to previous sets in this theme, the only thing that bothers me is that only one Minifigure comes with printed leg piece. Last year sets, all Minifigures have printed leg pieces.

Now this is one set I really hope to get my hands on soon. This is the kind of space shuttle set we've waited too long to see.

The modularity is very well done. Being able to have a great looking spaceship and base if you want is awesome
I hope Lego makes more space sets, maybe with a new faction

This set gives me classic space vibes - both in look and in terms of modularity. That is something that they used to do all the time. This set is one of the better designs of a spaceship that they have done in a loooooong long time. It seems to be both realistic yet imaginative at the same time. I love the alien as the co-pilot too.

This has been the first subtheme/theme that's intrigued me in years. Thanks for reviewing it :)

This looks amazing! The thought behind the modularity of not only the set itself but also the aestethic is simply marvelous! This is the reason Lego can call themselves a premium toy, both innovative and elegent. Lego is a product to innovate the marketspace, and this set makes all the life like objects and other bland replicas they have been putting out lately pale in comparison. Also appreciate the tribute to galaxy squad with the colors of the pilots

I think this sets modular piece is meant to be an airlock, which is why it’s closed on both sides and has ladders so the top can open, however I think if they give you the panel closers, like the white ones that close off the orange connectors. Then each one should be able to be passed through, not have walls blocking them

Jang is 100 % right when he says this is one of the best spaceships Lego has ever made. the color scheme, modularity, all of it comes together so well. so many options available with the other sets in this line. And when compared to some licensed spaceships lego has made recently, this set has incredible value, features, and playability.
