all of the items for the cutting board can be purchased at the dollar ($1.25)store. I've also done the popcorn 'bark' but have used prepopped bag to save time...and a caramel corn recipe I have too.

Cute ideas! (And I think the wooden spoon tip works to keep an initial boil-over at bay, but if left unchecked, I'm guessing it will still overflow. My understanding is that the spoon over the top helps break the surface tension of the bubbles as it boils, so it can help at first but if the heat stays up, the spoon eventually won't be able to do the trick anymore.)
