For all the flaws of these movies, it’s nice to see this side of Elrond
ОтветитьBilbo is the only one who can get away with insulting an Elf Lord in his own house, and walk away with a free Magic Kingdom Annual Pass, lol
ОтветитьRed Skull meets Agent Ross
Ответитьits funny how Elrond was being nice and Bilbo just roasting Elves right infront of him haha
Ответитьfrodo might have a place among all the elf friends, but i would say Bilbo is the greatest of hobbits. a friend to elves dwarves and men, welcome in their homes and able to give 'cheek' to kings and wizards alike.
ОтветитьIve heard about second breakfast
ОтветитьFunniest thing in the movies, how Bilbo laughes at his own joke😂😂
ОтветитьIf Elrond was an NPC from some game, he would be my bitc... romance choice.
ОтветитьI’ve been crying since the kneeling scene. Doesn’t matter what happens now concerning the hobbits.
ОтветитьElrond" Gandalf told me that hobbits like to party."
Bilbo: " Really?"
Elrond: "So does the elves."
Bilbo: 😃
Elrond: 😎
I can see why Bilbo was perfectly happy living along among elves (at least the high elves), and I don't see why Frodo was of a kindred spirit. All the comments I see of Frodo going into west into the Undying Lands seem to assume that he absolutely needs to have another hobbit with him as a companion (whether it be Bilbo or Samwise) lest he go mad being alone with elves. I don't know where that sentiment is coming from. Frodo had a habit (like Bilbo) of sneaking off to be with elves at every opportunity when he lived at Hobbiton. He certainly knew the high elven tongue, and would have been perfectly comfortable in my opinion (after Bilbo passed away) living alongside and conversing with them until Samwise arrived.
ОтветитьHonestly, this should’ve stayed in the film.
ОтветитьBiblo: "I've heard that it is unwise to seek the council of elves. For they will answer bot yes and no."
Elrond: ".......maybe......"
What a great little scene! Should have stayed in the original release. I never knew it existed. Stumbled upon it by accident
ОтветитьThe only time Elrond would scare baggins is if he ended his last line with "Mr. Anderson".
ОтветитьHobbity bobbity nonsense.
ОтветитьNow someone clip in the voice lines from Agent Smith, and this friendship is rock solid
ОтветитьВладыка лорд Элронд полу эльф и правитель ривенделла самый мудрый из полу эльф
ОтветитьElrond is the best NPC you can meet at the beginning of a game.
ОтветитьBilbo is one guy that can bring a smallest bit of happiness to the most serious person for being himself
ОтветитьElrond sees his character immediately. Pretty profound.
ОтветитьElrond: I've also heard [Hobbits] are fond of the comforts of home. *gives Bilbo judgmental look
ОтветитьHe welcoming a frighten species that barely came out of there homes and he’s offering him a place🙏🏽
Ответить“You’re very welcome to stay here if that’s your wish”
ОтветитьMore emotion and joy in 70 seconds than 5 hours of Rings of Power.
ОтветитьIt was already 10 years ago, jesus...
ОтветитьReason 16568456 why Elrond is a gigachad
ОтветитьHugo Weaving speaks as much with his voice as the does with his face.
ОтветитьYou can tell Elrond was trying not to laugh at Bilbo’s little crack about elves. 🤣
ОтветитьI liked the part when Elrond personally escorted old Bilbo on the boat to the Undying Lands. It like their friendship improved when Bilbo took his offer after the 60 year time skip.
ОтветитьElrond is everybody's dad, Gandalf I'd everybody's grandpa
ОтветитьAh come on such a lovely scene why would they cut this? Damn it, Peter!
ОтветитьElrond wasn't just an elf: he also had human ancestry and a strain of angelic ancestry. This is why he's able to relate to/be kind to everyone.
ОтветитьThe fact that Elrond looked unimpressed with Bilbo for mocking his kind but then smiling slyly just after was his way of proving a point. It was his way of letting the hobbit know he wasn't wrong. Elves by nature are complicated and not all are welcoming. Pretty good way for him to make that apparent.
ОтветитьIt took me 8 times to realize that gandalf calls the bird in the end a thrush. "When the thrush knocks". Just after the damn bird is the guide to the secret door... God I feel dumb.
ОтветитьI like how Elrond chose to stay on Middle-earth ,Instead of departing to the Undying lands
ОтветитьWas Arwen born yet at all in this film?
ОтветитьBilbo won him over in about two seconds flat with that remark. Too good!
ОтветитьThe fact that he does end up staying there in the end is neat.
ОтветитьThe next time Elrond smiles is at the end of Return of the King when Arwen and Aragorn get together.
ОтветитьDuring the war with Sauron the Dwarves come to the aid of Elrond allowing him to escape. This is why Elrond helps the dwarves.
ОтветитьAnd in the end he chose to stay
ОтветитьElrond the greatest of elves
ОтветитьAnd so- Bilbo stayed in Rivendell and became Lord Elrond's favorite Piss Boy...
ОтветитьFunny that for Elrond, probably the last time he met a Hobbit before this was at the Battle of Fornost watching the Hobbits join the fight against the Witch-King. Looking at Bilbo now and happy that their sacrifice made the Shire the quiet and homely place it is.
Ответить"I've heard that Hobbits are very resilient."
Sam and Frodo: Luckily...
I like to think the reason Elrond is so nice and hospitable to outsiders is because his own life is a very unique story. Due to the heroic deeds of his father Earendil, the Valar granted he and his brother the option to live out their lives as either an elf or mortal man. Elrond chose to be an elf while his brother Elros chose mortality, becoming the first and longest ruling king of Numenor. Elrond was known as Half-Elf. A title that distinctly singled him out compared to pureblood/natural born elves. I think he has more empathy for the dwarves and hobbits than the other elves mainly because his upbringing and entry into being an elf changed his POV on the world.
