Excitement fills our household as my husband, Adam, our four children, and I eagerly anticipate watching Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Our 5-year-old son, Tyler, our 7-year-old daughter, Mara, and our 9-year-old identical twins, Keith and Laura, are captivated as they watch the parade on TV in the cozy living room. Meanwhile, Adam and I are bustling in the kitchen, preparing the Thanksgiving Dinner. As the parade concludes with the appearance of Santa Claus, we gather around the kitchen table. A moment of prayer sets the tone before we indulge in the delicious Thanksgiving feast.
