ОтветитьThank You, I have just applied the temp fix (jubilee clips and rubber) as we can not yet access a greater length of pipe, going to wait until I can then maybe apply compression joint if the pipe next to it allows space, if not, do both pipes, just seems to me a shame to chop a decent pipe,, anyway thanks again.
ОтветитьGod Bless you thank you. was in a panic. great video calm approach
ОтветитьUse sand paper on hole, then solder with silver solder, no need to cut pipe. Done.
ОтветитьYou have a great energy and enthusiasm for an educator. Everything you said was in perfect layman’s terms for non professionals. Thanks for that :)
ОтветитьHandy tips but what abiut de-burring?
ОтветитьThanks PP. Came here cos I have a leak out of the shower pipe that enter it from the bottom. Looks like some sort of chrome pipe!
Ответитьuseless-
ОтветитьBad ass video
ОтветитьAwesome video!!!! You have a new subscriber! ~ 🙂
ОтветитьWhy can't half a fitting be soldered over the pinhole?
So inplace of cutting the pipe, just clean it up and apply flux, clip a fitting with a section taken out over the hole, then apply solder as normal.
i get a PK screw wrap it in ptfe tape and wind it in.
ОтветитьGreat tip's.
Thanks.
I did the temp. "fix" with pad of rubber and a hose clamp 25 yrs. ago. Still dry but guess I should get around to fixing it properly.
ОтветитьDoes this method work on lead pipes. The pipes at my work keep flooding. I’m thinking it’s causing mold cause I keep getting calls from parents saying that their kids at getting sick.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing. I just had a pinhole leak. Thanks!!
ОтветитьMany years ago I just flowed some solder over the hole and plastered it with araldite. It worked and was still working when I sold the house. Apparently in the 1970s there was a lot of poor quality copper pipe prone to pinholes around.
Ответитьcan you directly solder the pinhole instead of cutting the pipe?
ОтветитьGreat vid, but when mis pipe for 3rd repair which wasn't over pin hole did you recut or as soldering didn't matter?
ОтветитьI used to fix my mk4 vw golf gti turbo coolant pipe like this i must of put 10 cut in half rubber pipes over the holes and tighten them with jubilee clips.
ОтветитьVery useful. Thanks
ОтветитьThe British are so honest. Excellent workmanship and right to the point.
ОтветитьHe built all that but couldn't put a bucket at the end of the pipe LOL
ОтветитьGreat vid thanks 👍
ОтветитьSweat in a new pipe or hire a plumber. You're welcome.
ОтветитьI recently fixed a mains pressure pinhole leak by cleaning the area, fluxing and tinning, then flowing a dome of solder onto it. Perfect repair and really quick.
ОтветитьIts no Power on your Pipes xD
Ответитьjointing compound tut tut !!
Ответить..But if the hole is in a central heating pipe within the enclosed loop of the system, how do you turn off the water that is running through the pipe then??
ОтветитьHe missed one of the EASIEST temporary fixes there is!
Sharpen a wooden pencil. Poke it firmly into the pinhole. Cut off excess. Tape over the patch with electrical tape.
Hodně pralesní technologie😢
ОтветитьI'm sorry, I guess I don't understand English very well.
ОтветитьCool - Thank you! Very useful and your presentation rocks!
Ответить👍
ОтветитьThis guy is ok but drinks too much coffee or energy drinks😗
ОтветитьI've been using pin-hole clamps for years. The clamp pieces are interchangeable so you can get the dense flexible forever gasket easily over the pin hole. The clamp is 3" long and the gasket goes roughly end to end. You mark 2" on each side of the hole so when you put the clamp on you can judge where the center is. Then install the clamp and tighten the SS screws. You're done. It's so easy and it'll last longer than the pipe itself.
ОтветитьNEATO....Old Boy!
ОтветитьTomuch toking
ОтветитьGood stuff!
Ответитьgood job
ОтветитьThank you mate jigili jigili jo
Ответитьround wood toothpick in the holes and done, lol.
ОтветитьYou save me a few $100 or maybe $1000 thank you for THANK YOU FOR THAT👊🤛🤜
Ответитьno need to shout mate...just talk...we wanna listen! (footballs on saturday, shout all you like then!)
ОтветитьIn real life with a full length of pipe , you would never be able to solder a pipe like that without waiting for hours for the pipe to dry up , any amount of water inside the pipe will prevent solder to work.
ОтветитьExcellent video, thank you!
