That winch is the main selling point for me. May not need it but once but that one time can be a huge deal. The other is the crash bar up front. I'll hit a deer about once every two years on average around here. The repair averages about $4,000 and two weeks or so without my truck. If the bar on that truck is stout, all that money and lost time with a truck could be avoided.

have the look of first edition seats. Why didnt gmc make rear seats to fold down flat in rear for added space? Grab handles..where are they front and rear?

On a rough road where your not going over 30 miles per hour you should always always select low range, not only does it give you a much broader gear selection and triple the torque to the wheels it also vastly reduces the strain and heat of the transmission! I ask people, why aren’t you in low range and they say it’s working fine in high??

Sorry but, the Tacoma is no longer the "clear choice" when the competition is offering the same or better. All turbo'd except Frontier. It's a level playing field now and there is no way Toyota maintains its Gen 2 or Gen 3 reliability. Look at the Tundra... issues year 1

I go through nasty muddy land parcels all the time with my 17 frontier sv. No locker, no lift, and no skid plates. Just a set of 265/7516 Crosswind mud terrains from Ling Long. Never gets stuck. 4hi with traction control off and floor it. Handles it like a champ. Sometimes I use 4lo if its really nasty or I have a very steep incline to go up or down. Lockers and all that fancy crap is overrated.

As I grew up in North Carolina I just always remember hearing GMC made a great truck it was strong and reliable.

Can we get some real objective reviews of this!?! You're just regurgitating what the marketing guy told you. You're running trails with the auto stop/start on. The "safari hoop" blocks out big portions of the grill camera obscuring the trail in front of you. The spare tire hangs lower than trailer hitch limiting departure angle. I seen all that just from your 11 minute video. In the words of the great Joe Bribin, "C'mon man"

$50k for a small truck is insane. GM is tripping

Don't know why some people are complaining about the price, I actually think it's pretty good.. considering a half ton with close to the same options is close and or over 100k that definitely wouldn't be as capable off road.

Too bad that 8 speed is a giant pile of 💩! Why GM sticks with it when they have the 10 speed at their disposal just like Ford does I’ll NEVER know. They’re garbage and incredibly problematic.

This GMC is one of the best looking,most capable trucks on the market. Not sure why Toyota is outselling these vehicles. It’s not because they are more reliable,the last two Toyotas I bought were lemons. Great job General Motors!
