Resident Evil 1 is the game that fucked up my 1998 self. Even the Capcom boot up logo scares me. The opening cutscene with the newspaper and real life people is the most terrifying shit ever. People may laugh and joke about it now but seeing real people is more scary than some stupid CGI shit.

They are actually pretty in line with the games and gives characters more depth and what they may be thinking during certain scenarios, like you really get the creeps being in Jills POV getting stalked by the Nemesis in the book, she keeps hearing him say staaaarrrrrrssssss before he appears and hes just way scarier in the books then the games somehow some way lmao
