My brother had a 1967 RS/SS Camaro convertible the same blue color with the
327/350 hp engine, 4-speed and a 3.08 positive traction rear end. His car had the
stock hood. His car had the chrome rocker panel like yours plus a stainless
strip along the window wells. He had a white convertible top and a two tone
blue and white interior. I never saw another one quite like it. His car had the
Chevy Rally wheels with red line tires. It was all purely stock and ordered by
the Chevy dealer in Eldersburg, Maryland.

That is just damn near perfection Larry. I'm a fellow Oregonian and Camaro diehard, and love the stories behind the Day 2/Nickey/Baldwin-Motion/ Yenko/Dana etc Camaros. There was a time in my 30's that i rolled my eyes at Marina Blue(my dad had a Tahoe Turquoise 67 L79/M21 Malibu and i learned to drive in a Royal Plum 67 L79/M20 El Camino, sadly missing the L79 by the time pops got it but those are my 2 favorite Bow tie colors regardless of year) and Cragar SS's. I've since come to my senses on the Marina Blue. The wheels, meats on the rear and Marina blue, (thank goodness minus the typical black vinyl top) in the sun is stunning. Phenomenal job and killer paperwork and love the Nickey influence all over the car!!

Gorgeous, always loved the hidden headlights, Chevy designers hit it out of the park. Always humbles me to see someone with enough grit / love to hang on to a first or early bought car.

I sure wish my 67 looked like that! I rescued it from a junkyard in 72. New Hampshire road salt had rotted a lot of the rear quarters and trunk floor. I worked at a body shop back then and tackled the rust work after hours. The front suspension was shot and was replaced. The last mod was pulling out the 250 6 banger and traded a set of wheels and tires at a different junkyard for a running 327. Mated it to the 3 speed standard that it was born with. Never quite finished it paint wise. But, MAN I loved that car! Thanks for bringing back those memories to this old man.

Wow Lou what a striking body sculpture on this piece.
It looks performative just sitting there.

My personal preference is non scoop hood but well done here. Might get a bit of ram air boost at higher speeds.
Overall a very pretty Chevrolet.
I’d call it a sky sapphire mist metallic. Engine bay very impressive.

Thanks Lou the “ Car Guy” .😊

I bought a 1967 SS 396 375 hp 4speed posi, matching numbers in 1977 I was 3rd owner $ 1500. Ran the crap out of it for three years, needed a air compressor, and welder for my shop sold it for $2500. It sold Barret Jackson's this year for $81,500. One of the biggest mistakes I've ever made.

This is a beautiful example of what you could buy in 1967. No wonder this was such a special time. I even road in one of these back in the day. A friend’s father had one with a very stout 350 and it sure felt fast back in the day. I used to see ones set up exactly like this one, with Cragar wheels and big rear tires cruising around my high school. In those days there was a lot more mystery when it came to cars in general. Information came by word of mouth and the car mags. There were also the brochures, but car dealers didn’t like to give those out to dreaming teenagers.

This video makes me sick to my stomach. To date I have had 31 Camaros since high school in 1979. What irks me is in 1989 i put out the word i was looking for a camaro with covered headlights as non-camaro enthusiasts did not recognize the term RS or rally sport. Very short time later a co-worker told me he went to look at a Nova for sale and the guy who owned a huge chicken farm in Holland, Suffolk Va, named Herman Ashley had one among about 20 SS Chevys on his property. Short time later I met Mr. Ashley, a great man and drag racer now deceased God Bless him, and bought the Camaro from him as a roller for $1200. USCC authenticated the car in 1991 form me, 11B 732-Z F-F , Marina Blue Bright Blue Deluxe Interior, E 2ELGR 3SL 4P, RS/SS 350 4 speed air conditioning. car was decked out with a lot of options not on the trim too. I performed a title search and got the history on the car and started contacting the previous owners hoping to find the engine. Come to find out it was a dealer demonstrator car from a dealer still in operation today. The second owner sent me pictures of it when her dad bought it for her used as a birthday present in 1969. He was a mechanic at the dealership. The original family, Knutz, was deceased by then and had not kept the car long and traded it back in due to wheel hop. I stored the car while looking for an engine. In 1993, a buddy had to sell his beautifully built 69 Camaro so i bought it to drive. My wife did not appreciate this move so she demanded i sell one or the other. I refused as my work buddies had 2 camaros each as well. Well she left me. In order to try to get her to come back, i sold both Camaros, but the beatch never came back. So i was out my cars and a woman. Damn the bad luck. Move on to around 1995 and it showed up for sale locally finally. I verified it from the folder of my research i had on the car and negotitated a deal, $18,000, with the owner. Went to get it the next day after work and the backstabber said a guy from Hanksters bought it that morning for even money than we had negotitated. Crushed again. Found the car again about 2 years ago through facebook and that dude would not even respond to messages even after i offered him the folder of information i have on it. It's still out there somewhere, VIN 123477L117074 and I would think the information would be nice to get back with the car. I do not want to nor can I buy it back as i'm a goner from a 25 year battle with chronic kidney disease. I had a lot of badarse Camaros, there was just something about that one that stuck to me like glue. Thanks for listening.

Absolutely perfect. Theres nothing like Day2. And im talking true Day2 as in period correct. Alot cats do Day2 projects but not period correct how it should be. He really did this one right. From the stinger to the Cragers. Even has the Fly Eye on there. If I had to add something I'd say the headers needed to be painted white. But thats just me. This machine is A1 !!!! Congrats and thanks to u both for sharing a dream

Another great video. The highest percentage of my favorite classic domestics happen to be chevys. And I think I recognize those stretches of I-5. That looks like just north of Grants Pass. There's a little town called Merlin about a mile west of I-5 and just under 10 miles north of Grants Pass where lots of classic cars can be seen. And many of them are privately owned. Anyway, these places are all within a half hour of Medford.
