Can you discuss in detail fusible interface. There appears to be variations in it and I'm not sure if it's thickness or quality.

Started sewing about two months ago, and this was an incredible video for me to transition to more intermediate patterns!! Thank you so much!!

I know this video is three years old, but you had mentioned making a tutorial for long sleeves in here, is there any chance that's still on the roadmap? No worries if not, but I really enjoy your teaching style and could benefit from that as I've heard the long sleeve variations can be quite difficult

Incredible! You totally rock! Now I understand why are recommended.
Please, I have one question..
When you pinned the sleeve to the armhole you had a bit of extra material at both ends.
Can you explain why that happens and what has to be done with the extra material?
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with such patience and passion😊

This video has taught me a lot. I started my first botton down shirt. Im sewing with a handheld singer quick stitch mender. I'm saving for a sewing machine. I forgot to put the markings on to match up the sleeves. After I traced and cut out the pieces I threw away the pattern trace paper. Is there a way to match the sleeves without having to start over?

You really need to work on matching the fabric pattern to get a nice look. As it is, the eye goes straight to the mismatch which is glaringly obviously wrong on the coffee themed brown shirt.

I keep coming back to this video because it keeps me from making mistakes. I was gifted a sewing machine and decided that pillows and such were too easy for a beginner. I made my first ever project (this style of shirt) following your tutorial. It was not only a success, but my mother (70 years of sewing), sister (45 years of sewing), and niece (15 years, and a degree in clothing design) all were beyond impressed with how well the shirt came out. I owe this and credited such to your tutorial. Because of your video I now have a passion for sewing and tailoring my own clothing. Thank you again sir.

I can't reiterate enough the numerous comments before me of what a wonderful teacher you are! I think you're the first male teacher I've listened to in a predominantly female craft and quickly found I prefer listening to you and how you teach. You clearly and concisely explain everything in a smooth easy going manner which makes it easy for someone to listen, watch and really learn what you're showing. I had no clue of how to read or start beginner sewing with a pattern but you broke it down, clearly explained each part and showed it's really not that complicated. Btw, your voice is audio listener's gold! I'm mind blown, haha! I have only quilted with my sewing experience (20+ quilts), but have wanted to learn how to sew clothes but was intimidated by it. My grandmother was a seamstress (made all my high school dance dresses), and did alterations for people so this skill has been one I have wanted to learn. Thank you, thank you for your videos and offering to teach this skill. Subscribed!

Love this!! You can also use the coverstitch machine to do the hems on the sleeves and bottom hem..but you'd probably have to do that before sewing the side seams...just a thought. Great video.

I followed this tutorial for the size small copy of this pattern and it was so good!

I feel like the sleeves are narrow and restrictive at the arm pits, but I did have a ton of trouble attaching the sleeves. I wonder if I missed something about the pattern. I ended up with a whole inch of extra fabric on either end for the sleeves because the cutouts on the torso was that much smaller

I'm so grateful for you. You're an awesome teacher. I'm going for this pattern as my third shirt. Now I see where I've made my mistakes. I'm doing view E with the yoke. Any tips? I'm not sure if it's a burrito roll or being used as two latter's of fabric as one. I think it's that.
Thanks and God bless
