Those idiots will never get rid of meat. They would have to do away with life itself, and God won’t let that happen. God made us all and he is the only one who can destroy us. Cheers to eating meat! 🥩 🍖 😋

I did the diet for 21 days. I discovered I'm an LMHR, which is good, and it raised my homocysteine over limits, which is bad. But it eliminated my stubborn arthritis, lost me five pounds, and made me appreciate how much fat I can eat without gaining any weight so long as insulin is low. This is very good because I'm going to keep the processed carbs out for good. But I have grown sick of meat, so I won't be carnivore anymore. I will keep a protein meal each day, though. I've learned how my body works, and it's really, really smart. Do not mess with nature. She knows much more than we ever could.

If by serum cholesterol you mean high LDL - damaged high LDL from carb eating is associated with bad health outcomes but clearly not causative (or not very causative at all).

The studies showing a link between high LDL and health problems are in people who are very sick - thus their LDL is high for that reason. Every study - dozens of them - on high LDL and longevity shows a "50% risk factor" of living longer the higher our LDL is over 40. And we tend to die sooner if LDL is lower, again by a big risk factor.

Please, stop parroting anything close to the status quo on this. Let the bad science go. You can do it.

Started Keto 8 months ago and lost 60 lbs. 3 months ago I accidentally took too much Warfarin ( due to blood clots in my left leg that resulted in a large pulmonary embolism years ago) and developed a bilateral subdural hematoma that required 2 Craniotomy’s and also produced a small stroke and an episode of AFIB. I can no longer take blood thinners of any kind and I’m to be scheduled for a Watchman procedure to help prevent a large stroke. There are no clots left in my legs and they put an IVC screen in, just in case. My survival so far is due to God and my weight loss. I’ve recovered quickly and I think sufficiently, to exercise carefully with 15 Lb dumbbells and walk a few miles. I also just started a fast after loading up on red meat, a salad, cheese and cream in my coffee. Went to bed at 218lbs and got up (after several bathroom trips in the night) at 213. I’m fasting for autophagy but further fat loss won’t bother me at all. I think autophagy may reduce my risk of another stroke somewhat. Could be wrong about that though. I theorize that it may clean up some clots though since I get some by eating in a short window most days, so a longer fast may get bigger results.

What I like most about these conferences is the fact that NONE of these speakers is an ideological fanatic. They feel free and open to disagree with one another -- and that's awesome. Dr. Baker is a real outlier in the community and he STILL is part of the community. and will hopefully continue to be a part of it. He obviously disagrees with Dr. Chafee, Dr. Berry, Dr. Mason as well as Gary Taubs, yet there are no insults and childish behavior. Go to a Vegan convention and watch what happens if one of those speakers steps off the plantation just a little. Ugh.

The carnivore diet is highly toxic for the majority of all humans. Too many studies prove that. Its irresponsible to say otherwise. It seems only severly sick people with a totally messed-up metabolism like autoimmune disorders could benefit from an extreme, upside down poisonous keto diet. Fight fire with fire.

I want to share my solution for the gut microbiome health (“YOGURT”) and how to make it at home much healthier than the one you buy in the shops. I feel great on Carnivore diet and never have constipation with it (just to add drink water keep well hydrated it also helps for constipation and hydrated body function to its best).

I buy Bulgarian yogurt starter culture ''BOLGARI'' and Yogourmet Kefir starter. As I researched that Bulgarian yogurt and Kefir are the most beneficial for the gut microbiome.

Kefir contains around 60 unique species of probiotics, “good bacteria” that improve gut health and may aid in your digestive processes. The most common are lactobacillus, lactococcus, streptococcus, and leuconostoc.

Bulgarian starter bacteria - Lactobacilluss Bulgaricus, Streptococcus termophiluss, Lactobacillus Rhamnosus and Lactobacillus Gasseri.

Lactobacillus bulgaricus bacteria are isolated from Bulgaria - the only region in the world where the bacteria can be found in nature, and are not genetically modified. The bacteria is widely known for its strong probiotic properties, helping with digestion and reducing irritation in the bowel.

I will explain how I make the yogurt but just to mention something important that the yogurt in the shops is fermented for shorter time like 4-8 hours to keep the sweet taste because the longer you ferment it the lactose (sugar) will be broken down more and more from the lactic acid bacteria. So, I ferment my yogurt for 24 hours which result in bitter taste because the lactose (sugar) is broken down to bear minimum.

So how I do it.

I get 4 Litre thermos as the milk need to stay warm to ferment. Get whole milk (organic). Boil it to 90-95 Celsius temperature to kill any bad bacteria. Leave it cool down to 50 Celsius temp. Mix in the milk one packet Bulgarian and one of the Kefir starters. Make sure milk is cooled to at least 50 Celsius temp before you put the yogurt starters or any hotter and it might kill the good bacteria you are putting in. Stir it properly and put in the thermos until it still maintains 45-50 Celsius temp. Place the thermos in a warm place and don’t shake it or touch it at all for 24 hours. Then open and enjoy your very healthy yogurt. ☺

Yogurt is abundant in calcium, zinc, B vitamins, probiotics and has protein of course.

Yogurt is 100% animal based which is perfect for carnivore lifestyle.

Is 24 hour fermented homemade yogurt healthy?
About 30 times the healthy bacteria going into your tummy in one, delicious serve of homemade yogurt. Can't argue with that! 24 hour yoghurt also has a higher probiotic count than commercial yogurt because it is fermented longer.

Although it's not well tested, 24-hour yogurt, hypothetically, doesn't contain carbohydrates.

Myself I mix my yogurt 50/50 with water in a cup to use as a drink on my meals. But I guess the more you consume the more good bacteria you get so for personal choice you might not mix it and take full cup of yogurt.

eating butter as many do. All I DO know is, after being a RN for 30 yrs, is that as soon as
all the Dr's, I SEE, is once they see a choloesterol above 200 you have a prescription to lower your cholesterol. I DO know post 3 days I have also lost weight........we shall see end of week. Seems to ME, nothing works the same for everyone ! Was doing vegan... no real

What I have learned, as I am like nigh 2 weeks in on the carnivore diet, is don't google search carnivore diet. The smeer campaign is real. Already, my digestion is no longer exploding. My wife is the one driving the diet change, and I am slow to learn, and I am joining her to support her, but I am already noticing benefits. This is a great encouraging presentation, as after some google searching last night, I was concerned re no veggies and should I do Keto instead? But after this, I think I am good to stay the course, and give it way more time.

@brucegraham4142

Here is something I learned about LDL cholesterol which shows it is actually "good" and not "bad".
I’ve recently learned that cholesterol is produced by the liver, and that HDL functions as a “carrier” and LDL functions as a “repairer/rebuilder” and is actually “good” and not “bad”. The reason that LDL has been mislabeled as “bad” is because it has erroneously been identified as a ‘cause’ of cardiovascular disease. One possible reason for this “error” is that LDL is actually a “confounding variable” rather than an actual “significant variable” in explaining cardiovascular disease. At “most” there is a “relationship” between LDL and cardiovascular disease, but it is NOT a “root cause”. Secondly, whoever concluded that LDL is a source “cause” did not dig deep enough with “root cause analysis”. If they had asked, “why does LDL “build up” on artery walls”, that would have led to the realization that the arteries are highly damaged (“holes” in the lining) and need to be repaired and rebuilt. The liver then produces and releases LDL to repair/rebuild the walls and builds up on the walls through time. So, ask why are the “walls” damaged? It’s because, over time, toxins (in air, in water, in the land, in processed food, in processed beverages, in medication, in household chemicals, … etc.) damage the endothelium cells that line the arteries. So this deteriorates the lining creating “holes” that need to be “plugged”. Hence, the liver then produces and releases LDL to repair/rebuild the walls.
So, the more appropriate solution to be applied here is NOT to reduce the level of LDL via medication, but rather to minimize one’s “exposure” to all types of toxins as much as one can and to nutriate and “cleanse” the body sufficiently to “fight” and get rid of toxins. Go after the root cause(s) and not the “confounding variable”.
Even with supposed “valid data”, it is still possible to come to incorrect conclusions that lead to serious problematic “solutions”. With the erroneous conclusion that LDL is “bad”, various medications have been developed to lower LDL levels. These medications have been apparently successful at lowering LDL levels, but, … have introduced numerous serious side effects such as, Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory loss, muscle wasting, breast cancer ... etc. (e.g. "Lipitor: Thief of Memory", by Dr. Duane Graveline). Our brain actually needs cholesterol/fat!

Ketosis and gluconeogenesis are both demand, not supply driven. It may be true that significantly overeating meat might cause you to gain weight, but it is unlikely to happen without extreme excess. There is simply no evidence to support the idea that a slight excess in carnivore will result in weight gain. Quite the opposite. In fact, Dr. Baker himself said "Eat like it's your job".

There are carnivore folks eating 6000 calories per day and staying lean. To be fair, they are active... however if they ate that many calories in starch they would have ballooned up like a beluga. Calories in/Calories out is being challenged scientifically, and that challenge is going well.
