This reminds me of my earliest ASMR experiences, when our teachers would put a filmstrip or video on sometimes, in grade school. All the girls would sit in rows & play with or braid each others' hair. I couldn't get enough of that tingling feeling on my scalp- & because I was a somewhat anxious child, I loved the feeling of perfect relaxation. 😌🫠

9 years ago today my roommate was feeling stressed out and I had her sit down in front of me as I sat on the couch, in front of the TV, grabbed a hairbrush and hair clip and put this (new) video on.

Today, that roommate, now married and lives across the country, texted asking me for “the hair brushing ASMR video” because she wanted to ask her wife to do the same thing during a stressful night.

I knew exactly which video it was, and now I get to enjoy the peaceful memories too. Thank you, as always, Maria.
