there are 5 threats to our bees and all have come in the last 40 years or in one generation

1: Varroa Mite

Indigenous to Asia, Varroa mites have only been in the United States since the late 1980's when they were accidentally introduced into Florida. Their original host is the Asian honey bee, Apis cerana, which, unlike Apis mellifera, has natural defenses against Varroa that come from evolving together over time.

2: The Killer bees

The Africanized honey bee was first detected in the United States in 1990 in south Texas (Figure 2). For three years, their distribution was confined to the southern part of that state. In 1993, however, the AHB was detected in Arizona, and by 1995, they were detected in New Mexico and southern California.

3: CCD or Coloney Collapse disorder

Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) was first reported in 2006. Beekeepers began reporting high colony losses where the adult honeybees simply disappeared from the hives, almost all at the same time. There were few, if any, dead bees found in or around the hives.

CCD is caused buy systemic pesticides, those that are integrated into the plant and remain from seed to harvest enjoy eating the same poisons that are killing our bees.

4 : New diseases and mites brought in from Australia

we lost so many bees to CCD that the government gave the nod to import bees from Australia, the worry is that those bees have brought with them disease and mite that were not here until they arrived

5: The giant Asian hornet

The first confirmed sightings of the Asian giant hornet in North America were confirmed in 2019 and have mainly been concentrated in the Vancouver area, with nests also discovered in neighboring Whatcom County, Washington, in the United States.

5 threats to our bees all coming within one generation of about 40 years, we lost half of our bees 2.5 billion and we are only going to lose more, they have been trying to eradicate the giant Asian hornet to keep it from getting a foothold here is the U.S. but that will fail, because this plague against our bees is from God, warning us to repent and mend our ways, this is how God works, He brings such things and when people refuse to see and or accept this is the hand of God it will only get worse, if we lose all of our bees be prepared to pay very high prices for fruits and vegetables as we need the bees to polenate them. no polenators and those drop down to a bare minimum no where near enough to feed our population.

Can you see the handwriting on the wall or will you scoff and say it is all just a coincidence? we are not there yet, our food supply is still enough to maintain lower prices, but let us lost the vast majority of our bees and those lower prices will be gone, so it is that most people refuse to see the hand of God until after the judgment has fallen, it is only after hardship from that judgment that people begin to sit up and take note and say yes it is the hand of God.

Thank you Mr Dunn. I did like your calm voice. When I watched the tape I said to my husband that all of that africanised hive has to destroyed. I'd go as far as destroying the honey. Big cry if you have lot of hives. My husband tells me it was over kill. As far as I was concerned kill all bees pulled hive apart and scrub down all the parts and pour boiling water over them in a tub, 5 minutes remove and hang into a string bag on the line to dry. Hose all the bags down. Leave to dry if fine weather. No more Africans. Not a one but ever watchful. Thanks again🎉🎉

I do not agree in any way your saying if a hive is not calm and submissive to being enslaved than it should be exterminated, all creatures no matter how big or small have the right to defend themselves from you or a chicken, the way you are speaking is truly disgusting.

If it was just a single hive it wouldn't bee a problem. Just set up a bass amplifier twenty feet away and let your Charles Berthoud flow. The low frequency doesn't just draw them out but it draws everything around the queen as well. No chemical necessary. It's not them getting upset about getting woke up. They don't like anything that has a loud rhythm unless it's circadian. The mower qualifies in this. Go figure.

I just saw a method to drown the hive using cold soapy water. It worked very well and they were all gone momentarily. The key was to put the dish soap in the water without frothing. Night before entrances were closed and taped and a mesh was inserted under the lid so no bees could come up. Lid off, pour through all the frames, 5 gallons. Done. Then take frames out and rinse with cold water. Anything capped is still most likely unstable. BUT HEY...loss of a hives entire harvest is small price to save your neighbor's child.

Your voice is so warm, calm and even-toned, any bee that dared to rise up against you would incur the wrath of the hive!

If taking out African bees is the solution to keep peace on the farm then we conclude that taking out the enemy is the best solution. But how do you deal with hot African Americans today that riot and destroy places and people then justify their crimes with racist comments thinking they have rights to kill others and their own babies! What is the solution for Hot African Americans? I think Prayers in Jesus Christ of Nazareth name amen IS THE ONLY POWER TO TRED ON SERPENTS AND SCORPIONS AND OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY AND NOTHING SHALL HURT YOU! Amen! Thanks Jesus!!!

I'm sad to say our first ever bee colony turned from gentle to unbelievably aggressive over the last few weeks. I feel like such a failure. Today, my husband and I went to check the hive. We knew they were acting aggressive but didn't know how bad it was until this morning. They attacked us the entire time. They dug in the same way they did on your microphone. 😢 They got in under my pant cuffs and stung me repeatedly. They followed me 50 ft. and were relentless. My husband was stung several times as well 45 minutes afterward getting out of his suit. They stung through the heavy gloves and got a few through our thick suits. Thank you for this video. I was considering the queen, but I realize now the entire hive needs to go.😢

They literally placed all the bee colony boxes up against the animal pens……
These people should not be trying to maintain colonies and produce honey when they have absolutely no common sense.

If her husband was truly allergic to bees and only had to take a Benadryl to be all good then he’s NOT allergic to bees! If he got stung 50+ times a Benadryl would NOT have saved him! He’d be dead.

You forget that the european bees there are inovasive in USA, they are not good with the native flowers either as the native pollinaters. Even if there are non agressive european bees. Of course there isnt pollibaters that M akes honey. The africanized bees are made in labs in South America were they became very agressive gebetics.. This was 5years ago and now they are in 46 states and some even in Canada.

I have been a saint to my colonies. Only work them in the middle of the day, don't fiddle with them, make sure they have room and food. 1 of them just went app shit seemingly overnight. Can't even take off the top to feed them. Head to toe blanketed in under 30 seconds and they chase FOREVER. I think there are still bees looking for me from 3 days ago. I have to run through multiple buildings shutting doors behind me to thin them out enough I can make a dent in the onslaught. I can't go in my house cause there are sneaky bees hiding in the folds of my clothes waiting for me to show skin. I try to hose them off of me but they just hunker down and wait. I have been so nice to these bitches and they have been so mean. No place safe. Everybody and every thing in a 300 yard radius gets stung. Not the regular sting, the sting when they grab you and vibrate their backside and beat their wings to essentially make a pneumatic drill. Wtf? It's beyond personal now.

I could imagine a lawn feeder, with dawn dishwashing soap inside the feeder, on a hose, would be effective in getting bees off most animals without causing long term harm to the animal. Jus' a thought experiment.

Thank you for this video, you just clarified what i need to do at a friend's yard. He had to abandon his bees two years ago due to cancer treatments, but was hoping a few would stick around to help family garden. I committed to trying to save his bees but one of the hives is unmanageable. They attack and cover both gloves and veil and follow me 150ft. Away and take 15mins wait time to rid them. I'm assuming its a combination of : because they haven't been opened in two years and they have aggressive gene.

I used to think that my bees were a bit grumpy from time to time. Now I feel quite happy with them!
I'm all in favour of keeping my chickens and bees close to each other. I think the chickens eat the small hive beetle larvae when they're trying to migrate to the soil and pupate. They also tidy up the dead bodies the colony throws off their front porch!
