So, I just got the apology pretty much when you did this reading. Like, he sent an email apologizing 2 days ago, and I saw it yesterday. It had been nearly 5 years since he had last spoken to me, and apparently he's 3 years sober this month (he was never mean drunk with me or anything, but it probably contributed to his reticence/ghosting tendencies). It was a good apology as long as it's followed with consistent action. I'm giving him a chance to renew our friendship, so it's nice that it looks like I'm making the right choice and it's not just going to restart the same cycle.
