It's always like this. The African or other 3rd world countries slave work for pennies while the rich countries make huge profits. This has been going on since we as humans has been doing trades. And almost impossible to do anything about.

Just remember, not buying the product bc of the worker exploitation isn't going to make the exploitation go away it means this person needs to work harder to find other means of supporting their family. In true climate justice we need to pay fair wages for work.

I was born and raised in the Amazon region . Does anybody offer an alternative income for people in the amazonian rainforest or are you just trying to stop the açaí trade in favor of super fruits like berries from your own countries to make us even poorer? What the rich countries should do is rent the amazonian rainforest and guard it with drones. Forests will not be cut down and we will receive some compensation
