Bandages & Splints: Lower Limb Bandage

Using a pool noodle as a patient's "limb", I am demonstrating the steps for applying a lower limb bandage. Students will practice the steps using a pool noodle. (Helpful Hint: This can be an awkward process without an assistant. If you cannot find an assistant, you can use a full-size pool noodle and tuck it between a mattress.) Once comfortable with the steps, students may progress to applying the bandage to a live animal without injury to fine tune the application process. Eventually, student will be able to apply bandages in real-life situation under the supervision of their veterinarians.
