ОтветитьPure classic country. Bobby Helms was a true country singer, but like Wanda Jackson, I guess more to be made from Rock. Writer Lawton Williams was a very good song writer. His #1 song "Farewell Party".
ОтветитьMy mom, an avid country music fan, was a genuine fraulein. Full blooded German, this was her favorite song. No matter what dance hall we were in, when this song started playing, I made sure mom was dancing. Her favorite singer was Hank Sr., then Alan Jackson came along and she said he was the next Hank. Then one day I came home and there was a picture of Alan in the middle of all the family photos. From that day on, we called him “Cousin Alan”. But this song that was so special to her, still brings back memories and renders tears. Sing and dance with the Angels mom, my fraulein.

ОтветитьI have brother in Germary I've never meet named RJ Hass. He was a product of my Dad and a little fraulein he met the day our president passed. He met her while clearing out abandon building and could have been arrested for what they did. From what I was told this song always got to my dad, and he never met his son. For what it's worth, my dad passed in 1983 a highly decorated hero.
