I eat 2 BIG meals per day. 1800-2000 calories each. I train fasted because the calories I ate the night before are still in my system but my stomach is empty, feels great doing this for 3 years now!

Glycogen in skeletal muscle cells (myocytes) can not be broken down to glucose and released into the blood due the absence of Glucose 6-phosphatase. This enzyme is only present in the cells of the liver (hepatocytes).

Will you get fat if you take long acting insulin though am/pm? Also will taking insulin shut down your own natural production of long acting base insulin?

This was great, I been tryin to find out about "what foods can lower your blood sugar levels?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Anebriel Foundational Ascendancy - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a smashing one off product for discovering how to reverse type 2 diabetes without the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my neighbour got cool results with it.

Also steroids cause blood sugar to go high. Happened to me twice. All these online drs say those taking metforim etc is just sweeping the blood of glucose and shoving it too organs etc so you test and go oh my blood sugar looks good but we don't see damage in organs.

This is such terrible advice man. High insulin is also bad for you like elevated sugars and you're recommending drugs to run high insulin levels. 🤦‍♂️ low carb diets lower sugar levels. No need for drugs folks.

taking insulin? proper diet for sure helps control blood sugar. If you are having to take insulin to control blood sugar, then you really need to check what you are eating and other lifestyle choices. type 1 diabetes is a different story, but for everyone else, please do a lot of research to make sure you should be on insulin. Only people I know taking insulin are sick people..

ok....so why is this happening.....i have a ketomojo blood glucose monitor.....i took 4 readings back to back all within 1 min of each other...( i always start the test with a clean wiped finger and use only the 2nd drop of blood and 3rd 4th 5th, reading 1 said 79, reading 2 said 116, reading 3 said 97 and reading 4 said 81 ....how are we supposed to trust our meters if within a 3 min period we get THAT much of a variance of levels??

Your bloodsugar is high in the night,
because your brain had panic attack in the night,
and think it will starve and shouts to the liver: "Give me more SUGAR!"

Nonsense! I was diagnosed with Diabetes (Type 2) six years ago.
The day of my diagnoses I asked my doctor. "What to I have to do?"
'Diet and Exercise". Never took a dose of Insulin, or anything else to control it.
Lost over 100 lb. by eating regular healthy meals, and exercising regularly daily.
My A1c is 5.4.
My morning glucose level is usually 109 in the morning after I wake up. That is normal.
It is your natural response to daylight. It is your natural response to the sleep cycle.
You are about to wake up, and your body is regulating your response to that period of the day.
Stop eating fake sugars. They raise your glucose levels. No matter which one you use. Stop!
Take care of your gut with something that will replenish the good bacteria in it. Fake sugars such as splenda will destroy your intestinal flora, and will increase your sugar levels throughout the day.
The rest is nonsense.
Eat well. Exercise regularly. And free yourself of Diabetes for life.

High fatty meals at night before bed such as blue fish soup, algae, ghee and boiled eggs lower blood sugar in the morning tremendously. Fat is the ultimate fuel and healer.

A spike in blood sugar in the morning that wakes us up and then provides energy- can’t be any worse for the body than eating and then seeing a jump in blood sugar.

Taking insulin for a perfectly natural body phenomenon seems to be jumping the gun. Wake up, go for a stroll and reduce blood sugar that way. Thank your body for doing such a fantastic job providing you the energy.

Show me the proof that an otherwise healthy person who wakes up with a 110 blood sugar is at health risk. An otherwise healthy person with increasing insulin levels will become increasingly insulin resistant, however.

Hmm, I just had a physicals this week, I was fasting for 24hours before I had my blood test. The Doc called me telling me that my blood sugar was a bit high. These 3 days I was scared wondering what the hell happened, since I had not eaten ANYTHING in 24 hours till the day of the blood test. Now I've just found out about this dawn phenomenon of high blood sugar while fasting. Interesting.

For me, it helps to eat something low carb as soon as I wake up. Otherwise my blood sugar will be high for hours. Example: I can eat half a cucumber, some cherry tomatoes, an avocado and then a protein shake after I've eaten all this. My liver is producing more glucose than necessary, but once I eat I think it "stops" and my blood sugar drops to a reasonable level.
