The problem with the Hutch kit is that at best, it's bound to fail. And at worst, cause an explosion. The weakest link in their system is actually the piece that feeds the propane into the engine, which is simply a piece of 3D printed plastic... Anyone who installs that has to be genuinely insane. The Grenergy conversion kit uses a CNC machined aluminum venturi instead.

Why not just drain the carb with the drain screw on the carb out the pink hose's. I find even after running the carb dry through the fuel off knob it still holds fuel.

Propane is such a nice upgrade to a generator. No messy and volatile gasoline to refill and do not have to drain tanks and carbs for long term storage. Plus you can keep a tank around forever and it never goes bad. Plus the engine will last forever.

Great video yer im in Australia 🇦🇺 and want to do this great to run 2 different types off fuel very handy 👍expesily when ya in the out back off Australia sometimes you carnt get eather type off fuel or only one or the other in remote places , gee your missis was quick at the shops 😀 whats the soft start up thing for the aircon 🤔

My Honda dealer says this is a bad idea , conversions on gas engines burn out the valves . Then it gets really expensive

Great instructional video- nobody could balls it up after watching you. You certainly are doing your hardest to make petrol the devil though. A mate has one of those hondas and I swear yours must be running too rich if you notice the exhaust as annoying. Maybe you run it in the garage.... I'd say if you are having petrol go stale in your generator for lack of use, either you don't really need a generator or you start putting premium in it and not that alcohol blend crap. I had a chainsaw stored in my shed fuelled up for 2 years and when i got it out it started and ran fine on the 3rd pull. Summers are hot here and fuel only goes bad when allowed to get hot- like outside. Its a nice simple conversion but that car sized regulator is ridiculous. A larger, less portable genny would be better suited to lpg though, as running a portable on lpg just makes it less portable and as the motor wasn't built for lpg, it won't be very efficient on it. One thing not in the kit was a shorter reach spark plug seeing as lpg runs hotter.

I used Hutch Mountain’s kit and it was everything that I needed and also with a complete instruction manual. Thank you for a valuable bit of information.

Seem like you missed the step to remove the metal washer for Air Filter cover for new plastic washer ....that why it is hard to thread the 2 nuts on the left...ahhahaha

Gasoline doesn't ever go bad unless it has water in it.. which means it's contaminated by the water.. but you'd have to put water into the gas to ruin it.. has doesn't go bad it can be 25 years old and will work perfectly fine

How much mbar does the second unit lets out? in my camper i already have 30 mbar... but i wonder how much mbar goes into the generator, so i know if I can use the bbq outlet.
