Last I heard? Mahershala Ali had walked away from playing Blade, apparently because they were going to kill him off and replace him with his daughter, and he said "Yeah, no," to that. Can you blame him? Nothing against him, but Wesley is Blade, and Blade will never fit into the current MCU, such as it is.

Blade won´t be this badass inside MCU/Disney.

These days you'll see stormtroopers getting hit on the head and knocked out with sticks and punches in billion dollars star wars disney productions, while here, sure he's punching and kicking them, but they actually went through the effort of making you SEE that the helmets are breaking from how hard the hits are.

The soundtracks for all the Blade films was/is incredible and set the tone for all the movies
