Can someone please tell me if this song was derived from "When Johnny Comes Marching Home", which was based upon "Johnny, I hardly knew ye"? All three have the same melody. Spike Jones even remarked upon it in his cover of "Ghost Riders" when he had his chorus briefly sing "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" and comment that it sounded just like
"Ghost Riders". Give it a listen and see if you don't agree. Hilarious!
