honestly, honestly, I don’t care what anybody says. The best litmus test is your own personal anecdotal testing. Because you have to find a character that makes sense to you certain rotations feel more fluid to certain people. Also, if you’re playing a class that you can’t get behind the class fantasy then it’s not going to be as enjoyable for you.

I play in groups, and I also do some dungeons and raids. But for me, class has to be enjoyable before I get to the point of rating or I will never make it that far. Mage is good. Don’t get me wrong but idk kinda boring sometimes. Fire mage needs a buff to damage also.

Nice video! I like the comment during the Augmentation Evoker bit about not people not wanting to use WeakAuras. I'm in that camp myself. Never wanted to take the time to figure it out and I feel I do great without it. I use a ton of keybinds that I have built into muscle memory playing MMO's for over 24 years. I usually don't have a problem with mechanics either so it's always been like an unnecessary addon that uses a good amount of memory and takes a while to figure out and integrate into a UI setup.

Frost mage and affliction warlock glad i have both at 70 atm. They ruined demonlogy i loved s3 and destruction aint the best either. Glad affliction is coming back.

Boomkins deserve F-tier on those jerky-ass casting animations alone. Looks so terrible. God I hate retail wow.

I think blizz vastly underestimates how much I want and love degenerate ARPG gameplay in every gamemode that isn't high keys.

I actually like the DoT gameplay in general - but the dots need to do enough damage to be rewarding. If they're tuned like VT and SWP then it feels bad not being able to compete for sure. but if the dot management is hard and they do big dam and return lots of power for spenders then it's worth imo

So balance and Druid are in the gutter… we need the mage devs on this class asap

Balance druid is literal trash.

They stripped away most of what made it fun, and replaced it with nothing. It's a disgrace.

While they were at it, they also decreased astral power generation, cds are still 3 min, but 15/20 sec duration which is just LOL, like wtf??!!

And also sundered firmaments and orbit breaker choice node??

I really disagree with your take on destro though, that spec is WAY more fun than aff, i would at least put it in A, if not S.

It's really a testament to how good the Legion fire mage rework was that is basically still plays the same as it did then, and it's still my favorite ranged DPS spec.

First Time Elemental Main in TWW

I don't think I've ever struggled with picking a main.. All my favorites are improved and appear more fun.

My first toon ever in 2009 was my Warlock. Never mained him. Not once. Went DK/Monk/Druid last 15-years. Is it time for change?

Unpopular opinion: I think Destruction's Overfiend launching Chaos Bolt's makes them feel way less special now. I know they're part of the rotation at this point rather than originally being just a big damage cooldown along the lines of Soul Fire but seeing them ALL the time when they're one of the coolest looking spells in the game takes some of the fun out of launching one for me.

I keep trying to play druid boomkin and keep going back to cat. Boomkin for me is not fun to play I might as well just play healer with it. I tend to play shaman and lock and Pali tank mostly I like the new evokes class now. Used to play shadow priest but now it's not fun anymore more may have to try to get into mage which to me is usually the best dps most expansions.

Would frostfire mage be suitable to play with a controller? Never tried controller in wow before and was thinking it could be worth a shot for super casual play

Going back to my old main Mage seems to be like the best option 👍

Glad affliction is getting love. I play Warlock every expansion and Aff has always been my favourite (well apart from MoP Demo... RIP old Meta Demo. Was best spec in the game).

I never liked lava burst. I always knew ele as lightning and then they added lava burst and suddenly I’m fire? I wish ele just stayed purely lightning.
