I enjoyed your logical approach to assessing whether adding something to your routine was worth it or not, including the part about calculating cost per use. Well done!

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. I watched Andrew Guberman's podcast on November 5 and since then I started swimming in the lake that is near my house. When I started practicing, the water temperature was 10 degrees Celsius and this week it was 3.5 degrees Celsius. I started with 10-20 seconds and it was bloody cold, now I sit in the water for about 2-3 minutes. Like you said, I hate the cold lake and at the same time enjoy it immensely. I can say for sure that my mood is more stable and I'm sleeping better since then. If I don't die from fucking russian missiles and drones, I'll keep this fucking shit up. Thanks anyway and good luck.

Watched a video that said having an ice bath daily burns body fat due to the body going into survival mode because you're freezing 🥶 what do reckon?
Love your videos 👍

I suffer with Anxiety & have been doing the ice bath for 5 minutes every morning for just over a week. It really sets me up for the day, I feel less stressed/anxious & more able to deal with whatever the day throws at me.

It’s also made me more active. I work at a desk all day and I’ve started doing press ups, kettle bell swings & bicep curls and walking at lunch time

Had been struggling with tendinitis in my knees for a couple of years. A started a stretching routine and doing cold water plunge most days and my knee pain is almost completely gone. Now able to cycle to work again which is great. I enjoy the feeling of doing something difficult and uncomfortable and enjoy the buzz afterwards. Great vid thank you

My mate and I cleaned out our wheelie bin and used that for an ice bath. Was sub 10 C most days. What good for it tbf. The water wasn’t too nice after a while but obviously a clean and replacement of water solved that. It felt like I’d accomplished something everyday after getting in, getting out felt great and felt like I looked better physically in the mirror after (not saying ice baths improve physique)

Not sure this Guy really understands the benefits for the wider audience as opposed to his personal experience 🤔
I can personally vouch for them to anyone who has any history of using anti depression medicine as the longer you plunge the better the long term affects you begin to see and its almost instant the next day 😊
You will live a pharma free life for sure

I did an ice bath for three minutes It was super cold but when I got out I didn't feel any different. now do ice Bath for 15 minutes a day. It's not the feeling that you have when you're in it. It's the feeling you have when you get out. It's unlike any other thing I felt... Also in just thirty days, all the cellulite in the back of my legs is completely gone..

8 Chinese containers frozen in a old water tub does the job and is free I find the calming affect you alluded to it's not hard and if it gives you benefits why not ? I can't see any downsides apart from the cold shock .but thats minimal.

the proven benefits of cold water only really come into effect with long term use, actually low temperatures(think below -10 degrees) and long duration of the ice bath, and that's over 20 minutes not 2 minute dips. Also most people do the ice baths wrong cause there is a whole protocol that needs to be followed to do it safely for health and skin. So basically for the average person it's garbage.

My doctor brother and other medical experts in family say standing in a cold shower for 3 minutes - ie when you feel it after the initial burn may make ur muscles feel better. My experience is it’s good for skin allergies. There is no sound medical research at the moment re ice bath myths

I love how cold showers and ice baths are becoming some kind of essential now. I guess some men just don’t have enough normal struggles to deal with in a day so they have to create some to stay sane. Personally I have enough to deal with without forcing myself to get a cold shock twice a day.

Ice baths make my feet REALLY hurt so I can’t do long. We have a plunge pool at a David Lloyds near me. I like going in after a sauna for like 15-20 seconds but my feet literally start aching really badly after a short time. Weird it’s just the feet

what about the fact that when you are in a ice bath your body is creating a thermal shield. Someone said if you want to get the benefits you need to break the stillness and keep moving around. God knows hwere I heard this, I will ask you what you think of that? Also lovely content as usual

I just stand under the shower before switching it on to get 5 seconds of cold before it warms up. That's enough every day to say to myself, "I'm willing to put up with discomfort". You don't need very long to tell the mind something different and point it in a better direction.
