In which of Jordan Peterson book can I find the jung concept of persona and how Jordan expanded that concept?? Can anyone let me know about Peterson's view on persona ?
ОтветитьJordan Peterson when it comes to human human psycholgy, he is the best.
But when it comes to political ideas, he is pathetic.
Man, Chris really tried, but the chemistry between them just wasn’t there
Ответить🤎🙏
Ответитьnever heard so much verbal diarrhea in my life
ОтветитьIt’s a word salad because having a huge vocabulary is just memorizing and with over 60,000 words in your Brain you fall into a trap convincing yourself that you are very intelligent! BUT you are not, you are addicted to it as it makes you feel smarter but actually you are just living your life in a psycho-Mess!!! That happened to 80% of intellectuals, Mentors and Teachers!
Ответитьwhat college degree must i peruse to talk about this stuff all the time
ОтветитьAlso other attributes spiritual emotions etc
ОтветитьMr Peterson, what is the super saiyans always charging?
ОтветитьBlah blah blah
ОтветитьI miss this version of Peterson
ОтветитьThis is exactly why religion needs to stay out of psychology. This is way above Petersons pay grade...
ОтветитьLike always said noting
ОтветитьAnd what is the archetype for 'give 'em hell?"
At this moment in time 10,000 children are now dead in Gaza, is that enough hell for you Jordan or do you want hem to have more? You utter psychopath.
Idiologies are dangerous - one-sided nature - they parasitize and dont tell the whole story... ;;; in CHAOS what helps is a coherent ordering principle for people ;;; chaos - what helps is specific therapy..... some kind of ordering structure....
ОтветитьAgreed.
ОтветитьHe's just talking about memetics with his "parasyte" rhetoric when referring to ideologies
ОтветитьWord salad.
ОтветитьPeterson forgets what he’s talking about as often as I do- yet I have been smoking cannabis v consistently for 23+ years. Every time I try to like this guy his demeanor and underwhelming and generic perspective remind me there is nothing to see there.
ОтветитьOf jordan the hermit

ОтветитьThanks for sharing, I love using spiritual archetypes to help coaches and healers understand their purpose and their business's core values, and love the way Jordan Peterson dissects human psychology
ОтветитьSeriously on target regarding Mental Hygiene in dealing with our chaotic existence.
ОтветитьWhat is this man rambling about? One moment he's trying to tell you about heroes in works of fiction, the next he's trying to link political ideology to therapeutic practices! I do not know what people see in him. Many words come out of his mouth but he is saying nothing.
ОтветитьJust keep in mind: Archetypes are not real. They are an unprovable postulate. They are not universal. They don't exist. They are "made up". Like every story someone wrote they appeal to us because we see something attractive in them or recognize something our culture, parents, media etc. have already taught us. They are like tools, ideals or paths a society creates because it wants us to aspire to them, ultimately because it stabilizes society, not because we actually can or even have to be them. A rather obvious example is the hero/knight of ancient and medieval European literature. He never existed outside the imagination, there was no room for "nobility" in the brutal reality. Another sure sign is the widespread lack of negative archetypes like the aggressor, the destroyer, the selfdestroyer, the envious, the hoarder/collector, not even the trickster usually makes it. As a final exercise consider what wisdom lies in divining "mother" and "father" as archetypes of our "collective subconscious" and if then birds, dogs, cats etc. are supposed to also channel their "collective subconscious".
ОтветитьI suppose archetypes are fractals, this is where I think MBTI is mistaken by making it definitively 16
ОтветитьIf a lecturer doesn't have this cardigan he is not to be trusted
ОтветитьWhere is the full version of this lesson please? Or anywhere that J.P. covers the 4 archetypes ...?
ОтветитьThank you so much!
ОтветитьArchetypes are not part of science; that is not their domain. This could be why they are inherently vague and unclear! They belong more to the art of story/contemplation. But I think Archetypes are not as vague as the phenomenon of synchronicity. Jung was a hero archetype! Since, he was ruled by the Sun. The original archetypes are the 12 signs of the zodiac. By which he was heavily inspired. It is my suspicion that he had to reconfigure and hide Astrology in fear of being ridiculed Anton Mesmer style. Or persecuted witch-inquisition style. Didn't Psychology try to gain respect by desperately accommodating to science? When Science is for objective natural world and not for human subjectivity. The funny thing is that Psychology is profoundly incomplete without Astrology. I have found more insight and answers in reading my own astral chart, then I have ever done with multiple psychologists. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate/admire Jordan Peterson’s intelligence. He has developed his Gemini Sun, Mercury functions well, by being an eloquent student/teacher/speaker. I also understand that psychology is incomplete without Astrology. Jung himself used astral charts to better assist patients. Currently no psychologist can do that and that is to my estimate moronic! Since, mysteriously so, the information is there. Although obscured by years of religious/Scientific persecution. At the end of the day... According to Saturn, challenges are part of life it takes time and effort to overcome. Some uncomfortable feelings will always be there. No psychologist will take that away from you. Because it was given to you by the universe as a chalenge to grow. Or better yet you gave it to yourself with your accumulated past life actions. You are born into Cause and effect.
Aka Venus square Saturn
Moon square Pluto
Mercury square Pluto
According to Astrology, squares and oppositions are planetary aspects that create tension in the psyche.
Psychology failed when it gave in to scientific dogma. When in reality . Science is one small part of man albeit the most obvious and concrete. But lets not deny the other side call it the irrational or the Unconscious/ symbolic /spiritual. This side is not so readily obvious. I love Jung he was not only dominated by the Sun but was also dominated by Pluto and the Moon; the best examples of Anima symbols! Two highly feminine planets. That was supposed to be the domain of women or men that are were in touch with the feminine archetype (irrational ) of course, women are yet in the developmental stages of their liberation. And we live in male dominated paradigm. Science is the best example of that. I mean thanks science. You are useful, But now you’re telling me that we are going to Mars?? Aka the Male planet! What a joke... Elon Musk is another hero archetype, he is ruled by the Sun same as Jung. The sun saves us everyday from the “scary” night of ignorance. Jordan Peterson is a Mercury dominant the closest planet to the Sun.
Therefore, chances are an illuminated mind. Astrology regards him as Hermes messenger of the Gods. Just another archetype ...
Struggling
ОтветитьArchetypes are fractal then.
ОтветитьThe picture in the thumbnail is based on Carol Pearson's work on the archetypes.
ОтветитьA lovely way to state the purpose of therapy Jordan. When we look at our personal hisory and experiences...feelings we have had with life events, themes that make up our history, it can feel and seem cognitively very chaotic. As a child we werent in charge of our lives at all.Putting our history in some order...doing some housecleaning,,facing our childhood fears, wounds, lack of control, our joys our sorrows, our talents and interests can help us build a life direction to go forward in some kind of cohesive fashion and assert some control over our future. No one ever has total control but feeling adrift and rudderless one's whole life,,a victim of circumstances and the winds of society that blow around us makes for an emotionally reactive life...a continuation of the pattern of "I am a victim of circumstances over which I am powerless" It is giving the power you DO have control.over away and just blaming others for your fate , your dissatisfaction with your life. We are not mere victims of circumstance as adults, we do have agency to act, to make choices for ourselves.
People who never realize this and act upon it are doomed to be forever resentful and angry at the world or hopeless and depressed. No one has total power or control over their future but in America so much is possible...we are not yet a completely totalitarian state but when young adults want to control OTHERS through govern ent policies they are advocating tighter and tighter restrictions on themselves as well...less and less wiggle room in society to find a positive path for themselves when they are constricting choice and freedom for others. It is a great irony that the desire to force compliance "for the social good, for the right things" diminshes us all because today's right thing is almost always tomorrow's wrong thing...a study of history teaches that.
It's very powerful stuff when you understand the strength and weaknesses between the archetypes of yourself and people around you identify with the most strongly. The real magic is when direct yourself or others into different archetypes.

ОтветитьI love this! I was reading about this in Plato's Republic and Bruno Bettelheim's Use of enchantment. Story's play a role in shaping people and that's so OP! Dude i was wondering would i be able to use a clip from this video in my upcoming video on story telling? Thanks again for uploading this. Peace bro!
ОтветитьJewish Christianity is hated by the actual far right 🤗
Ответитьinteresting that the man who discourages creative pursuits is talking about archetypes. The height of hypocrisy among western intellectuals is enormous.
