Watching this after watching the more recent Island Living review and it is appalling how much more content this has in comparison. All this expansion really needed was more time in the oven to iron out bugs and lag causes. Luckily modders have done just that. TS3 was truly the peak.

Can you run an expansion pack like this on its own, without the original The Sims 3 CD ROM?

I come back here occasionally for the nostalgia, to read all the comments talking shit about The Sims 4 and to take part in talking shit about The Sims 4 which is infinitely more fun than The Sims 4.

I swear, how hard would it be to just make the original game packs from the sims 3 and then add more stuff to it for the sims 4

I am getting this just for its features I know the world lags like hell, all I want is the stuff from it to use in other worlds!

How I imagine you Scuba dive and Woohoo in a cave
(I have not real life experience with this)
Two breathing tanks per sim
Two regulators per sim (which is typical for real life scuba diving)
No exploring, just find the cave
...a cave in the Tropics where the water is warm enough for you to take your two piece suit off.
Go into the cave
Take off you trousers
Select one of you to take the other's second regulator (the thing you breathe through)
Make it quick
Keep an eye on the tank of the sim you are both having oxygen from
When finished, use the other sim's tanks to float to the surface.

The only way I can work in Base Game Isla Paradiso is basically use all the NRASS Mods, turn off routing for cars and boats, delete basically everyone except my four main families I make in CAS, unlock all the mystery islands with cheats (bummer!), Unlock and delete all the locked lots, get rid of all but one houseboat, and teleport every where. 😅
Edit: It is worth it to me to do all this set up on top of all the regular set ups I do with NRASS.

I checked this out to see how different is sims 3 compared to the sims 4 cuz I never played it. It sounds enormously more entertaining.

This one was a total diasapointment for me, for some reason this "world" is laggy or jumpy, while all other worlds are funktionen as they should, even unmarked the supernatural pack but it did not change

sees people complaining about the lag, does research on how to fix the lag, buys it while being aware of it and finds out u can get it less laggier by evicting the scott & the houseboat households and also has the nrass overwatcher mod

The best thing in Island's world that u got a lotta lags and its freezin' after a few mins i hope they already fix it

I miss those times when you had to hide from public and purchase another property to cheat on a spouse in peace, not like in the Sims 4, where nothing happens and no one cares about it. (:

I really wish you could build, visit and run resorts in Egypt, China and France.

If your island paradiso world lags a lot but other worlds dont. Well you are in luck my friend, the world is broken, a quick google for a fixed island paradiso for you to get should fix that for you.

Rewatching these old reviews reminds me there's a whole bunch of content from Sims 3 I never even touched on before moving to Sims 4. I had this pack but never tried scuba diving.
