6.9 ohm reading on a 8ohm speaker is indicative of damage or degradation. Should be reading at least 7.5.
Ответитьany AA AAA battery does the job too
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьBeware don't hold the battery to the terminals more than a half-second or so. If you keep it connected it may blow the speaker! Just tap the 9v battery as the video shows. Don't hold it there.
ОтветитьOk but the speakers I'm testing has 2 sets of these terminals, one is readying the correct resistance and the other is ol.
ОтветитьThank you
Ответитьmy left ear enjoyed
ОтветитьCan you do the 9 volt while the speakers are still wired to the cab?
ОтветитьGreat simple demo - Many thanks.!
Ответитьumm. will this work(with multimeter) while its still connected to the circuit board?
ОтветитьWow! Short and clear! Thumbs up!
ОтветитьGreatttttttt
ОтветитьLMAOOO
ОтветитьBattery trick . Hell yeah 🤟
ОтветитьGreat video, I would stay with a D cell 1.5V battery.... 9.0V is a bit high mate. Cheers!
ОтветитьThis video was a huge help. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьThank you, made my day
ОтветитьGood video , thanks! I tested my speaker with the battery and it's not moving. Might it still be fixable though? There's no crunching sound when I move the coil manually.
Ответитьi think its not okay if my multimeter shows that my speaker has 3 ohms instead of 8 am i right?
ОтветитьWhat if my 8 ohm speaker measures 13 ohms?
ОтветитьDude you really need to speak up
ОтветитьPardon my ignorance on speaker basics - would like a tiny direction for my problem. I bought a 8inch 50 watt woofer (not sub woofer) about 15 years back, used it for few hours and it sounded good. I opened it today and connected it to my amplifier and it outputs too little volume. I gently pushed the cone and spider up, and the volume goes up and it vibrates well. How can I fix it? The spider feels hard... the soft rubber on the outer edge of the cone is soft/flexible...
ОтветитьSpeak up can’t hear you
ОтветитьLove vids like this , no intro , no talking no nothing!! Right to the point !!!!!!! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
ОтветитьDoes it matter which way the 9volt battery touches the speaker. Im just worried that i might blow it lol
Ответитьcan you test it with the wires still connected to it?
Ответитьsorry i couldnt hear you my speakers were blown
Ответитьthis audio made me think my headset was broken😂
ОтветитьLow energy.
ОтветитьIs this video test for the right speaker? XD
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you!
ОтветитьWhat's the difference between
6.9 and 69
They are the same positions but 6.9 is loathing, because it has period 😁😁
Reading is 6.9
Naughty speaker and tester😁😁
Apparently my right speaker just died....oh wait no it's just the video
Another cool way to test woofers is to short the terminals with wire and move the cone back and forth while scraping one end of the wire on the terminal. You will feel more resistance and hear crackling from the intermittent connection.
👍
ОтветитьOutstanding!!
ОтветитьAwesome!
ОтветитьThanks man, i just started as an arcade tech and some games have no sound, didnt know if it was the speaker or the sound boards
ОтветитьCan't hear!!!!!
ОтветитьThanku sir:::)
Ответить⭐️ battery tip is excellent ! ⭐️ thanks 👍
ОтветитьThanks it works
ОтветитьLeak speaker hasn't been used for some time, today tried using it and was ok for about 20mins then a loud bang. I've tested the speaker with the battery and it moves in and out like your video example however every time I test it with the battery it produces a burnt smell coming from the coil, is the speaker dead. The cone can move in and out ok with no rubbing sound being produced.
ОтветитьThank you for the video.
ОтветитьMy Celestion Vintage 30 has been confirmed dead according to this video 😢
ОтветитьIf you don't have a multimeter get one. Super handy around the house and car, will pay for itself in time. Try to get one with an "amp ring" at the top. Gives you the ability to check how much current is on a circuit.
ОтветитьI can't hear you dude
ОтветитьI tested all of my speakers in my center channel speaker and all show resistance so I'm not sure why it's not working.
ОтветитьWill the battery test work on tweeters?
