"There is no immortality, only the memory that is left in the minds of men"- Napoleon Bonaparte, let us hope that we will never forget a military and political genius such as Napoleon.

Crazy how the British have made this guy a villain. If you read about him you just learn about a guy who was dealt a crappy hand physically, and had no status. Despite this he worked his tail off and became the greatest general and French ruler of all time.

Napoleon was 5’6” . He was 5,2” in the old French system which was 5’”6 in English feet . You need to investigate that . Since 5’6” was normal size for people at the time . The British made him to be shorter as propaganda . He was always standing next to his bodyguards who were extremely tall , making him look bey little

He didn’t view his father as a traitor. In his teens he had a strong sense of Corsican patriotism which it went away in adulthood as he considered himself more and more French. He viewed Carlo as a man who did what he had to do. Much like Napoleon did himself later on.

The most defeated nation in history. Even Napoleon, whom they are proud of, is not French. The flag of what is called France should be white.

Britain in reality survived so long for two reasons. 1.) Their island at the time was hard to invade. 2.) they smartly put their money in their navy. Their loss of complete power came when air battle was as important as sea battle.

The difference in locations between his first exile and his second exile is just wild. His 1st on Elba was only 5 miles off the Italian coast. His 2nd on St. Helena, was 1,000 miles off the closet coast.. of Africa!

Waterloo was not just one battle, it was a mini campaign carried out at lightning speed over less than a week by Napoleon. He totally thrashed the Prussians and the English during the previous two days. Duke of Wellington's advance preparations and plans for a deployment at Waterloo prevented a total rout. On the day itself, arguably Scott Greys' off the cuff cavalry charge broke the early French momentum so the battle then dragged on till late, ending in disaster for the French.

Bonapart wasn’t short; In 1800, the English foot and the French foot were both units of length measurement, but they had different values. The English foot, also known as the Imperial foot, was approximately 12.0 inches or 0.3048 meters. On the other hand, the French foot, known as the pied du roi or royal foot, was slightly longer, measuring about 12.79 inches or 0.3248 meters. This difference in measurement contributed to variations in various aspects of construction, trade, and daily life between the two countries at the time. This is why English man though Bonaparte was short, in fact he was average high.

I watch a lot of you're content @Biographics i have to say this this video was probably the most disappointing of them all. As a historian you should be unbiased when discussing history.

You clearly have some sort of beef against the dude. "The little general" like come on dude. Napoleon had a alot of flaws, but to basically some him up like that is ridiculous.

Napoleon shattered the idea of the family monarchy, and whipped every ass that came against him. You can't win them all but statistically Napoleon is the greatest military commander the world has ever seen.

How did the military work back then? People can just walk up to the military and say, "Hey, military. You want me to lead you"?

And the military's like, "Okay".
