Bmx bike is my bike of choose for everything even random tech trails i find but riding with no brakes on trails like that is hard and with no suspension im just bouncing everywhere but get used to it plus u learn the trails so its easier i might get a gryo but idk no brakes is kinda harder i think so i like it
Ответитьfinally a bike that fits seth
ОтветитьTry doing such a trail on a fixed gear cyclocross bike next time. It can be done. Also known as "git gud". (Like with the BMX - where your problem was too big gear ratio and tiny wheels - but instead the opposite you get big thin wheels, lower traction and even bigger gear ratio.)
ОтветитьI put a Mtb fork on my bmx than painted it
ОтветитьJust needed practice, more teeth on the freewheel and a pair of brakes. You can kill it out there
ОтветитьI rode with a mt bike pack in shindigin forest trails in ny with a bmx, whence i was 16.
ОтветитьDifferent tires, brakes and a tiny crank makes it better but soft sandy dirt, the wheel diameter is what screws you. I've got a few small trail by me that I'm thinking about it. I ride BMX in the winter at Ray's indoor mtn bike park and it makes it challenging
ОтветитьBerm peak/park should engineer trails with dirt bmx in mind
ОтветитьThere was this one small MTB downhill trail, and only 1 spot where you had to brake and then you could just fly and barely make it around this last corner before it turns to a dirt road. It was a blast and me and the homies would shred it on BMX bikes in summer cause there was a cliff swimming spot about halfway down.
ОтветитьWhat’s crazy is I do this all the time 😂😂
ОтветитьI think an 80s style race BMX would be better for this as they are built for dirt tracks and tricks
Ответить"I have hydraulic brakes at my fingertips" yep he literally does
ОтветитьI took the front brakes off mine and left the back ones as a kid
ОтветитьAren’t BMX bikes specifically made for off tossing and jumps? Lol. Wtf.
Ответитьgood for lla of people
ОтветитьUmmmmmm BMX bicycle motor cross. Was invented to race around a dirt track. It was the very first purposefully built bike for off road. They excel at all kinds of terrain. You were riding a street only bmx built for trick riding. Some of the best MTB riders came from BMX racing. John Tomac Eli’s dad is one of those guys. You could have just swapped the tires for dirt racing tires and voila!
ОтветитьBefore I had a mountain bike I was riding my bmx with my friends on mountain bike trails
ОтветитьI would wanna see a “trail bmx” with a suspension stem with wide off road tyres and brakes and see how it fares
ОтветитьSeths bike hacks is a better name
ОтветитьThat shit ain’t hot.
ОтветитьDo a dirt bmx bike
ОтветитьBeautiful easy riding bike.
ОтветитьI wanna know what happens if you take a modern holland bike down a trail.
ОтветитьShould have used a dirt jumper with proper off road tires and had brakes to make it a fair test, granted nothing will help with the tiny sprockets and all the extra pedaling. Also I've recently started riding BMX again and am trying to adapt to the no brake thing on street/park rides and am finding it to be more sketchy than anything.
ОтветитьYou could shove your toe in your back tire to break lol
ОтветитьI dont understand why you choose a BMX without breaks. Thats a death wish
ОтветитьThanks for the review
ОтветитьBMX, bicycle motocross. I did for years. They have a number plate on front, brakes, never pegs. That's more of a flatland or a freestyle bike.
ОтветитьJust discovered this channel. You're like the Linus of bikes. Instead of GPUs, you just drop yourself. Impressed, intimidated. Subscribing.
ОтветитьAlright. Now I want to see you go shred it up at a skate/bmx park! Would be awesome content!
ОтветитьKinda weird that you don't have dirt knobbies on your BMX for this. Obviously your park/street tires are going to slide out from under you in dirt.
ОтветитьI still ride my 68 Stingray BMX with Redline fork and the Coaster brake!
ОтветитьMan its like he's trying to get hurt
Ответитьthe one thing that sucks about bmx is actually riding them
Ответитьwhy is the reading script in the description?
Ответить"I really deserved that!" this is why I love your videos Seth! You're the man!
ОтветитьAll through elementary me and my bmx bought from sears or something, were one. It was an extension of myself. Chrome. Black and white checkerboard pads. Single v brake. I ripped through every street, sidewalk, trail, old motocross trails, bmx dirt tracks. This was in the early 80s. Now all I see are grown men on mountain bikes. Good for them. But us kids back then could do it all on a bmx. And we build intricate, well built, weather proof, 2 story at times, amazing tree forts with no tools......now it's called Bush craft or something. Us 80s kids lived outside with our bikes and sk8 boards building ramps and getting hurt. I'm 46 years old and am going to buy a bike soon. I've always wanted to start riding again. I'm thinking I'll get a 29in. I'm not as nimble as I used to be but it's gonna be great. Ah my midlife crisis haha. Meh...could ve worse. Bmx bikes are rad!
ОтветитьWanna see this again with a brake on the BMX.
ОтветитьI wanna listen to purple haze while riding purple haze. Thats the dream!
ОтветитьI wonder how an old school bmx or racing bmx would handle this?
Ответитьhow tf ur face that caked but there wasent one spot on ur helmet lol
Ответитьthis video did a terrible job of deterring me because now I'm really curious how I'd go on a bmx bike down my local trails
ОтветитьIm 30 and still use a bmx i have gone through mountain trails yeah its a hell of a work out but hey the way i see it ... its a better burn... i do it for conditioning and loosing weight not just as a hobby i mean i rather ride my bike than go to the gym seriously i rode my bmx for months on a trail then i invited my friend to go with me he let me borrow one of his mountain bikes and it was 1k times easier for me like i bearly broke a sweat
ОтветитьI remember when i climbed a 2km steep road with my mtb before and when i got home i had to vomit 😂
ОтветитьI rode my bmx at mountain bike trails for 2 years and it was perfectly fine just sucks without shocks
ОтветитьDownhill bike on dirt jumps
Ответитьi bet a 26 or 29 in bmx would work great with some knobby tires, though it'd essentially be a klunker at that point.
Ответитьnever remove brakes. never.🍻
ОтветитьSome actual dirt BMX tires and brakes would help this a lot i think, you know like the 80s and 90s bikes.
