How? 😱 I've already spent about 6000$ to make mine weigh 8,4 kilograms 😢 (but maybe that's because I have a full XTR groupset, my favorite, I know it's not the lightest but still) and mine is a front not a full like the one in this video

A super light mountain bike is not something that I would risk riding fast and jumping high. Extreme limitation of weight means weaker components and lack of structural strenght. It's a known fact that carbon fibre frame manufacturers are sometimes building their frames thinner and thinner to save on weight, and as a result they are cracking like egg shells. To each their own , I'll stick with my trusty aluminium alloy frames and handlebars etc.

Does bike already come assembled

Look at light bicycle, You can find a 920g wheelset for under 1500$!

You could have used a mithril alloy shift wire.

What happens with your builds? Where do they end up? Some collector buys them from you? Please just take one of these out and either race it yourself or get a pro racer to try it in an xc race. Id love to hear their comments.

Back in the good old days when Scott kept cables out of the headset and the shock in plain sight. I thought I'd own a Scott some day, but not a chance with their current design philosophy.

Don't let the Schmolke stuff crack or break on you, despite what you've heard their customer service is severely lacking when it comes to this, as is the honoring of their warranty.

You can do a lighter soft tail with a redshift seatpost :D technically it gives you 4cm of suspension.

Below 8000 gram intill you spin the pedals ones and the dirty in the tires, but you way over 8000 grams

I recently bought light ebike Orbea Rise and with its 19 kg it is super planted in rough terrain. I started to realize, that weight is sometimes advantage for descents. All my bikes are carbon and I was allways wandering, why so many pro downhillers ride aluminium....

Ok nice light build. But not a word about the ride? At that light of a build, it might not survive on many real trails. Start cutting weight that much, we start cutting strength and functionality. I'd be worried about the cranks and post breaking right off
