Why is this lens so expensive when Nikon can sell a 180-600 5.6-6.3 for a thousand bucks less? Is it the 4.5 at the short end?
Ответитьhow did i miss this video?!
ОтветитьYes.
ОтветитьI have been out of Photography for a while, as my son gains interest I've been getting back into it. I remember 20+ years ago photographing in manual for the point that I wanted in the pan to be in focus, I nailed the shot more often than not with film cameras. Auto Focus is great, but if your in a fixed position, trying to get the shot with the particular background you want, Manual is still useful. The hardest part then was timing the shutter and making sure I'm cropped where I need to be. Zooming out a little in camera give the ability to punch in a little in post. Shutter speed at 1/100th of second, I'd argue that a lot of your 'not sharp' shots may have been motion blur rather than the systems fault. When your shooting pans, tuck that elbow in and and keep the camera up to your eye and you'll be far more stable and limit that motion blur to your pan rather than adding up and down blur.
ОтветитьYou're better off getting the 120-300 sigma and a 2x extender. Then you've got a 240-600 @ 5.6 (or the 100-300 @ 2.8) for around the same ballpark price wise. Only downside is the lens is heavy AF and you'll want a monopod to shoot with or you'll probably end up hurting yourself over a day of shooting.
Ответитьwhen panning hold it to your eye. dont hold that heavy thing in mid air thinking you can hold it dead steady
Ответитьwhat is the control ring for?
ОтветитьRibbed for her pleasure... But it's still long.
ОтветитьMotion array is not worth it. Plus they try to scare you into not canceling.
ОтветитьIt was so funny every time you said "shooting at F1" my mind took like a second to realise you were talking about motor-sports and not about the aperture of your lens 🙂
Ответитьhi again :P
ОтветитьWild. I think I would go for a EF adapted SIGMA 60-600MM F/4.5-6.3 Sport.
ОтветитьNice. But one question: Would you choose a R3 or R5 with RF 100-500 over a Lumix S5 II with new Sigma L-Mount 60-600? If yes, why? If no, why? 👍
ОтветитьExcellent!
ОтветитьThat Redbull photo is a real banger!
ОтветитьI shoot bikes a lot and it's so much easier using a car as a tracking vehicle to get those blurred speed shots, but that means you need a third person to drive, plus a much shorter lens. Panning is never easy and hit and miss at the best of times at such high speeds. Great honest video
Ответитьpete my photos are sometimes out of focus, repetition yess to make it better in the future but i always shoot manual i never really use the auto. i normally focous on what or where i think itll be and then use that focus point and gradually tweak it. but other then that what camrea is better for focus or quick focus?
Ответить5.8 mil subs gets you a nice watch.
ОтветитьThis is an extreme use case for me. I rarely shoot anything moving this fast, but I can appreciate the effort it takes to land the shots. I'll mostly be using it to film talent and wildlife. I'm particularly hoping it does well with birds.
ОтветитьJust bought 150-600mm sigma. It’s a beast. I get a arm workout using it.
ОтветитьThank you thank you for showing us that the All Mighty Master doesn't get every shot, every time. 🙏 I know its hard to show, but it makes you human. We all love watching you!
ОтветитьOne day i'll afford one :(
ОтветитьThe F1 experience is very relatable for me! I regularly go to the 24h of Le Mans and shoot at night. It’s awesome but extremely difficult to shoot (a rebel t6i and a $100 75-300 EFs lens isn’t helping) but I have some great shots of cars with glowing brakes into one of the chicanes it’s so cool!
ОтветитьFor godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. (2 Corinthians 7:10)
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:7)
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
Not the coolest bike LOL.
ОтветитьIn fairness, he's not exactly known for shooting motorsports. It's a niche photographic pursuit, like birding or macro. There's always a lot to learn.
ОтветитьEyyyy!!! VETTEL!!
ОтветитьDid you play with the tracking sensitivities and tracking while behind near objects ?
ОтветитьUseless in low light? Night sports?
ОтветитьThat first shot of checo is awesome
Ответитьhello hi iam hindol roy iam be a photographer you are my luckly man for my life ans also exam ... can i get your contack number pls because i want to know more your tick ....
Ответитьis it sad that i got excited when he talked about the 100 - 400 rf lens and using the r3 coz I have them
totally didn't fan boy out "I've got those eeeee" XD
You need to collab with kym illman!
Ответитьadding that extra .00 from your money is really impressive!
😆
There are no shortcuts to getting rich, but there are smart ways to go about it. I realized early in life the importance of investing for financial independence and have invested with great returns working with a professional.
ОтветитьI can’t wait to get the Fujifilm 150-600mm, compared to this price I think it’s worth it
ОтветитьYo Peter, So with all the panning photographers out there, which mode do you set image stabilisation in? I wonder if with it on it can't keep up with the movement and this is where some blur comes from.. happy to learn something today...
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьCanon has become a joke of a brand.
ОтветитьThis intro is dope !!!!!
ОтветитьOh man, fun teaser on the opening! Great review as always!
ОтветитьSome of my favorite shots like this are of military aviation. Seeing the images captured of F-18’s ripping through Star Wars Canyon in Death Valley, or over in the UK at a place called the Mach Loop. Brilliant shots with incredible detail.
ОтветитьNext time you go to F1, use the same camera as Larry Chen... a good old 1DX MKII !! He does'nt seems to use his MKIII anymore. And i never saw him use an R serie camera.
ОтветитьIf ya attach a 2X TC on that lens it only works to 300mm then it stops further range capabilities, unlike the EF 100-400mm. Which uses the full range to 800mm.
ОтветитьThanks man, I just sold my 70-200 2.8 III DREAM LENS because it was SO HEAVY I just never wanted to bring it anywhere 😩 still need a good telephoto and that tiny 100-400 might be the one 🤩
Ответитьyou make me feel poor lol
