Have to have an Aussie accent for a movie. Watching you pronounce things and seeing those gorgeous one-of-a-kind blue eyes on the screen makes learning an Aussie accent pleasure, not work.

ОтветитьHey I spoke to Jeff on the phone this weekend.
I don’t think he got wind of his surprise party.
Get wind?
How do you mean get wind?
What do you like?
Catch it and put it in a jar.
No silly
I mean, he didn’t learn about the party.
He didn’t hear about it.
He didn’t get wind of it.
Ohhh right.
Well, why were you worried he’d figure it out?
Well, something I have a knack for letting these things slip, and
Yeah I wouldn’t have wanted to rock the boat.
Rock the boat?
Whose boat?
Why is it rocking?
We’re gonna have to make another expression video, aren’t we?
I've been here for so long, I think I got assimilated already 😂
ОтветитьHere are the examples that I made! Are they good enough?
1. I have a knack for learning languages.
2. I need to pull my own weight at work. Everyone looks so busy!
3.(at work)
Me : I didn't mean to rock the boat, but I gotta say I need to be off on next Monday. Would it be okay?
Boss : Hell no, not on Monday, you know Mondays are the busiest day ever in a week. Over my dead body! (but not sure it usually happens in Australia)
4. I got wind of some rumor that you're gonna quit this job. Is it true? Where are you heading to?
Get us Pete back…

ОтветитьHi Pete!! I love your channel!! I am trying to sound more australian. I have learnt american english but I will change my pronounciation!! Besides, would you like to make a video about australia history and art? About australian bands or folk music? Or painters and artists??
It may be interesting! 😊😊
Where are you, mate? We liked your lessons 😢
ОтветитьThanks mate, very useful expression s, you and Lucy are my favourite teachers. Your approach and sence of humour makes this video so exciting, mate!
ОтветитьI'd like to know assimilation, please.
ОтветитьHi, I’m new here and have got a question. Are the phrases mainly used only in Australia?
I’m an intermediate speaker with some Aussie accents because I had stayed with host families in Adelaide for 15 months.
Currently I’m working on learning new phrases but love to keep or improve my Aussie accents. Then your channel would be the one I’ve been looking for. But on the flip side, not many people understand Aussie English because I’m Japanese and live in Japan. Therefore I’d love to learn Aussie expressions but if not many people understand me that’ll be sad. In addition, I also need to understand other English to understand movies and TV dramas.
Does he look like Johnny sins 😮😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьIni mungkin kayak bule belajar bahasa ...." Gak bahaya tah ...?"😃
ОтветитьMan, so many expressions y'all use, we here in the US use as well. Love your vids brothah...
ОтветитьHi Pete, are you OK?
ОтветитьAt work place, you are surely on the path of success until you do not rock the boat.
ОтветитьI have quite a knack for good planning. I don't have knack for implementing plans. I do have excellent knack for hardworking and taking challenges.
ОтветитьYou need to to pull your own weight to acquire success in this competitive world.
ОтветитьShe always says that I have a knack on leadership roles.
