First Look at LG's 2023 OLED TVs

I have to ask because it's seriously bugging me.
How do you know they're not just dimming the contrast or brightness on the older examples?
For years phone manufacturers swore blind they didn't slow our phones and then... uh oh... that's exactly what they were doing...
We're trusting this stuff way too much.
Nothing's changing.
They just make the previous model look a bit worse each year.
Look at it this way - If we thought the last models were so vivid and bright... How are they able to escalate that (and again each successive year) without searing our retinas in the end?

Absolutely garbage TVs . Full of connectivity issues

I'll stick to my "65" Lg oled C8 from 2018, even thougu not very bright in a daylight but watching a movie at night in a dolby vision is soo awesome

The only problem with lg is that their new products are released few years after announcement especially in India.

I havent bought a TV in a long time and I see the 55 inch LG C2's running around 1200 at Costco/Walmart/Amazon. Should I just go ahead and grab it or will it drop alot lower once the C3s come out? My TV is sort of dying but if it's around the corner I can wait. I just don't really know how much new models will effect the price of the C2 since 1200 seems like a pretty decent price. Based on Honey they've been around 1500 for the most part for the last 3 months. Nice video! G3 looks REALLY bright and clean.

LG Oleds have a terrible lifespan, you won’t get more than 3-4 years of normal TV viewing without burn in and color shading - complete junk.

LG advertises peak brightness but what they don't tell you is that you can't enjoy that brightness. It constantly dims the display quite noticeably. I got the LG C2 and it drives me crazy how frequently it dims. From gaming to Windows desktop use, it just dims waaay too much. So future buyers beware, the peak brightness that LG advertises is not really what you get, it will dim itself relentlessly and there's nothing you can do about it

I can’t believe my c9 and c1 are a few generations old now lol. I’m so happy with both. Gaming and content is so friggin amazing.

Uhhhg just upgraded to c2 last year and now I'll be jumping to c3 ..... Swear its every year I have to upgrade to have the latest tv :(

I'm trying to buy one but there aren't any available and I'm trying to get one on bestbuy for warranty. My last tv lg cx wass a couple yearss old and BAM! power surge! just like that $2K down the drain .

If the C3 isn't using MLA tech, its basically the same panel as the C2. No change. The G3 however, is definitely and improvement over last years TVs.

The colors are so much better then last year's model! It's amazing we were able to survive without these new colors.

Again, am throwing out my 83" C2 and getting the C3!

Most people don't have a disposable income to buy the latest TV. Or would rather stick with their old TV that they have been using for decades.

LG had to put out an update to fix the ABL already. It was way too aggressive and they addressed it. Most ppl cannot afford the G Series. I’d go with the QD-OLED personally

Hopefully they improved the sound. Not a fan of standalone speakers

Upto now lg as been silent for their minlled tvs,i want a mini led tv from lg.burn in was really bad on our last telly.

I think I prefer QD Oled with better colors and contrast.

Beautiful tv's and the G3 is a serious beast. I saw it in person and was blown away. But the price is way out of my range.

All OLEDs have Permanent Burn in.

Is it even possible to make a bad OLED TV screen? With tube TVs and LED-LCDs, easily. OLED, I don't think so. I guess QD-OLED will make older OLEDs look inferior, but are the days of washed out budget TVs in the past? I don't think any phone with an OLED or AMOLED screen has ever been truly bad.

Sadly for LG, the Samsung S95C is the best TV in 2023
