Rumor has it that, in order to capture the essence of a lawless wasteland full of ravaged cannibals, the directors and producers just filmed a normal day in Philly and greenscreened the actors into the footage.

First of all, it is declines not denies. Secondly the book is a based on a series of reports, it is not a text book...

I think World War Z is one of those movies that would have been more accepted if it had a different title, as weird as that sounds.

I read the Max Brooks book of the same name years before this movie and I really enjoyed the book. Then I listened to the audio book version just to get a more feel of the content. When I saw they were making a movie I was really happy. Then It came out and I saw it and needless to say I was very disappointed. I went back to the books and the entire World War Z catalog. There is a lot of stuff you can really enjoy if your a fan. The movie has nothing really in common with the book other then the name. I wish they would make a mini-series or tv show based off the book.

I still love the scene where he took caution and was ready to jump off if he starts turning. It just adds realism to the fact that he is a family man above all else.

I’ll be honest, I listened to a good portion of the audio book, and besides the Chinese or Russian doctor story and the battle of New York I’m forgetting the names of these stories forgive me it’s been a few years. I liked the movie better

To be honest, how tf do The walking dead"s zombies claim the Earth?? Yes, they're scary, they're literally unable to kill... IF YOU WERE A ODINARY HUMAN ! Where tf is modern weapons ? Seriously ?? Yeah, you can just give some poorly trained soldiers a flamethrower and some gas can for each of them, and they will stop a whole outbreak because those zombie just strong if you trying to use raw force against them, they're simply a laughing stock before weapons that were made for murder (not conventional weapon that have to obey war law) !!

But World war Z's ?? Nah, i'm quit !

I've recently gotten back into the World War Z game was hoping kore people talk about it specifically, but was really only finding the movie. Haven't watched that aince it came out, and I remember liking it. Also, zooming in, I think I saw some xbox controls, but it was blurry, so if that really is what you're on, then I'm down to play.

Finished the book today and also finished the movie. Both are great in their own right, but I would love an adaptation of the book into a series.

I adore the movie and game that came out of World War Z—the book and its spiritual predecessor, The Zombie Survival Guide, are a different story.

See, kids, Max Brooks wrote great books to entertain people, but when you’re rifling through your fridge for something to snack on afterward, your brain makes connections that don't go anywhere, and you stop and think, “Wait. WHAT.” This reaction occurs at ultraliminal speed for people who know a thing or two that Max doesn't—namely, what and how firearms laws and manufacturing regulations affect the ownership of firearms. I won't get into it here, but long story short, a .22 LR bolt action with a plastic bottle filled with styrofoam on the business end will serve you better than a paratrooper’s carbine from the Second World War.

No way am I believing that 21 days before shooting they had no idea what the zombies would look or act like. Simply no chance they could have shot any zombie scenes at all if this was the case, especially since the way they move is key to the story

The movie was wee-tod-did. Should’ve just made an anthology tv series or something. One episode one chapter. Could have been great.

And seriously what is up with the curious lack of blood and gore in the movie? The book is quite detailed. Movies just like I am Legend gore lmao

Love the book, like the game, and the movie was...an okay zombie movie but an awful WWZ movie. I do like it despite the fact but the game managed to pay homage to the book by treating the game as a sort of "series" with each level

It’s funny how the zombies in the movie can destroy entire cities and kill millions then there’s the zombies in the game where they get their cheeks clapped by a bunch of survivors.

I hate how people rip this movie apart. Why can't we just enjoy a action movie as a action movie? Instead of getting pissed that it didn't hold close to the book, or the plot not being Academy Award Winning. JUST ENJOY THE BOOMS, BANGS, and BITES DAMMIT!!

Nice job on the vid man! While not a perfect movie, Wwz was super fun and felt very different from the status quo in the genre. I would totally be down for a sequel but I doubt that will ever happen, despite all the money it made..

I also play the game every now and then with my sister and another friend, if you're interested drop your add and we can save NYC sometime 😆

Uhhhhwhat?

No. The boy and his father were illegal treasure hunting in an old village called Old De-chun that was flooded after China erected a damn in that province. A village that was flooded in the father's lifetime.

They never explained how the zombie got there.

I love this movie. There were some absolute dogshit Hollywood-y plot armor like Brad Pitt and the army girl surviving a plane crash. But overall I really enjoyed the movie's more, I guess "grounded" DIY take on the zombie survival genre. And I love the fact that they at least acknowleged the "Zombie-blood-getting-in-your-mouth" plothole that no other zombie flicks ever seem bothered to touch upon.

The Game is my fantasy for a Zombie game, when I was 12 I used to just spawn in so many mobs in L4D2 cause that's all I wanted to do. Shoot some common zombies and occasionally some specials

So when I discovered World War Z the game, I was hooked immediately. I just wished it was better like, better gun sfx, and more mobile, the movement in the game is stiff, especially the special movement, like vaulting and jumping etc. I wish for more freedom movement is all.
