i have received alot of comments on this video saying that it does not demonstrate the third law but rather the second.
Actually, when it comes to rockets, all 3 newton's laws apply. in this video, i was only interested in talking about the third law.
Like all objects, rockets are governed by Newton's Laws of Motion. The First Law describes how an object acts when no force is acting upon it. So, rockets stay still until a force is applied to move them. Likewise, once they're in motion, they won't stop until a force is applied.
Newton's Second Law tells us that the more mass an object has, the more force is needed to move it. A larger rocket will need stronger forces (eg. more fuel) to make it accelerate. The space shuttles required seven pounds of fuel for every pound of payload they carry.
Newton's Third Law states that "every action has an equal and opposite reaction". In a rocket, burning fuel creates a push on the front of the rocket pushing it forward. This creates an equal and opposite push on the exhaust gas backwards.
Omg, why would you even need to teach this, this is all common sense 🤣
ОтветитьI thought he was gonna collide with the wall and bounce back, thereby demonstrating the third law. 😉
ОтветитьAction and reaction is equal but opposite direction
ОтветитьNewton third law
Action and reaction equal but in opposite direction
Now try that if there’s no air, water or ground to push against.
ОтветитьWifes first law, every time I make a fart action, my wife make a reaction ⚡🌬 guaranted 🤣🤣
ОтветитьAlso I saw the bowling ball on a pendulum, that is a classic physics demonstration as well.
ОтветитьWell duh? He could have expanded on that quite a bit. How much thrust was actually applied and how much was required to propel an adult seated on a three wheeled bicycle.
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьYou need a university lecture on how a bicycle is propelled forward?
ОтветитьHis class must just be awesome
ОтветитьIt would’ve been really awesome if he went crashing through the wall!
ОтветитьI used to have a chemistry teacher like this that used real world examples instead of textbooks all the time. I got the feeling he always felt like his talents were wasted on teaching. Sadly, he got lung cancer and left. I heard through the grapevine he later got involved in drugs.
ОтветитьI can see why his classroom is jam packed! His lectures must be really interesting!
ОтветитьBut when a person faart,why doesn't he gets a push forward 😅
ОтветитьNot impressed
Ответитьdont forget the WORLD needs REAL TEACHERS
ОтветитьNerds… you gotta love ‘em.
ОтветитьGod Bless our Teachers.
Mr. Stoltz, helped us understand the meaning of the word in Spanish for caution ⚠ by tossing a three foot long alligator out of a gunny sack onto the classroom floor. Yes, private schools can offer a better education through non-traditional techniques. : )
Absolutly the Man.
ОтветитьIf he was a Gabonese teacher…..
ОтветитьI bet attendance in his class is 99%!
ОтветитьWas the reaction diverse and inclusive enough?
ОтветитьWould you look at that, ignoring friction, like a true physicist.
ОтветитьKinda anticlimatic.
ОтветитьHow does one think of such thing🤔😮
ОтветитьLove it.
ОтветитьWTF was that??
Ответить“They see me rollin’, they hating. They trying to catch me riding dirty.”
ОтветитьNow wait for the numerical questions, you will feel it
ОтветитьOne tin of beans in your diet is all you need to propel yourself.
ОтветитьFortunately I never had such a professor. In my belief, the only way of understanding physics is hard learning. Such demonstrations are no more than an academic joke. One has to understand the principles not their applications.
ОтветитьThat was @)$king stupid!!
ОтветитьLooks like some of the commenters could use an English professor.
ОтветитьPit two people together. Let one of them hit the other and it will naturally occur
ОтветитьI was taught this as follows-
Teacher: State Newton’s third law
Me: I don’t know
(Teacher slaps)
Teacher: Now you understood what it is
😂😂
So this is why after eating a 12 pack of tacos from Taco Bell, I always have to high step when I fart...
Ответить“Wot a silly man❗️”😄💗
ОтветитьI have a natural Gas😂😂😂 💩
ОтветитьYou went into $50,000 debt for this?
Ответитьimpossible in the vaccum... in space ? hahaha 🤣🤣🤣
Ответить😂wow❤
ОтветитьPlease can someone explain it
ОтветитьFor every action there is a reaction
ОтветитьTeacher - captain of here
Students - we Been here 5 years and didn't know that would happen
mediocre minds commenting the professor was so good...
for any teacher who teaches third law of motion it's a basic thing.
it's the mistake of management that doesn't grant things teachers asked for.
In the vacuum of the empty space, is it the same reaction? or it would stay with same orbiting path?
