Ksk Royal, I need help installing Arch on my laptop. Arch is not booting properly from my USB. It shows me a very unfamiliar terminal with a "can't access try". I tried connecting to the internet with the "iwctl" command and I get a command not found error.

I can't find anything around this topic on the Internet so in the meantime I am stuck until I hear from you.

I tried this and it did not work the first time . I tried it again,but this time I installed arch-keyring before archinstall. I followed the instructions to a tee and I now have Arch installed on my laptop.

This did not work for me . I don't know why I can't successfully install Arch but it's quite frustrating.

What would happen if you don't disable secure boot? (there's no such option in bios settings for me) I get errors like: "cannot load image", "failed to boot both default and fallback entries" or "you need to load the kernel first".

If your WiFi device is powered off enter this:

device wlan0 set-property Powered on

If it returns with: "Operation failed" then you need to power on "phy0". This is either a device or an adapter, try either:

device phy0 set-property Powered on
adapter phy0 set-property Powered on

After that you should be able to run the wlan0 command again.

Thanks for the tutorial but i still cannot connect to the internet for some reason.

Ran through this for a plasma build, selected Pipewire, install failed because Jack and Jack2 (thought it used wireclamp/plummer/whateverthehellit'scalled now?) are in conflict. Retrying with PulseAudio yields almost 2x install time for some reason, but a successful install. Cheers mate!

Noob question, but using the command line here for installation like for checking the if there is internet connection - are these commands applicable to other linux distros, or are there developed only for arch?
