This dude never misses, It's like he literally hears all your worries and makes a detailed video of it 🌟
ОтветитьCLA 76 and 3A crew checking in.
ОтветитьMan this was a great explanation. Thank you.
ОтветитьI was already lost from the beginning. As a total beginner, I have zero clue what "crushing the transients" means. And it only got more complicated from there. Appreciate all your effort but you're really not explaining things in a way that a beginner would understand.
ОтветитьYou are by far my favourite go-to for mixing & mastering tips. No gimmicks at all, just what you need to know, very well presented. Thank you 👏
ОтветитьS-Tier Video. Big Shoutouts to Michael
ОтветитьAnd...if you are still struggling with compression. It's ok. Maybe start off with
a limiter - it doesn't have as many controls as the comp but you're doing something
similar. Once your ears have become more sensitive you can come back to back.
It's just important not to feel overwhelmed. Enjoy your music!
Great video, however the opto compressor has nothing to do with the speed of light, it has to do with the characteristics of the light source, how it reacts differently to sustained signals and short bursts ( very similar to how the ear reacts)
ОтветитьI hear almost none of it. I'm good with instruments but useless at mixing and mastering.
ОтветитьI’m going to assume this only really applies to analogue hardware. Obviously digital recreations are gonna attempt to emulate the sound but I’m guessing this video is talking exclusively about analogue
Ответитьhow do you know the plugin doesn't much real fairchild 670? have you ever seen real one in real life? it costs 170-300 000 on ebay. how you could compare?
ОтветитьI am a person who didn't understand how the compressor really works and sounds like, but after I watched this video, now I get that😂😂😂 So appreciate!!! You are the BEST!!!
Ответить1176 is most important (for channels) and these which have separated input and input-treshold (for bus, master)
ОтветитьI’d like to hear how these compressors differ when making a boom bap hip hop instrumental.
ОтветитьThank you. I'm trying to figure out how to mimic the sound of telephone hold music, and I think this will help a lot!
Ответитьbro fr jus has the best tutorials for everything there is to know in an in depth and useful way
ОтветитьThanks so much, I learned a lot! But now I am really confused with the new UA plugin, called LA-2A Tube Compressor.. How does this align with the LA-2A being optical? 😵💫
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial. I don't know if my ears are getting better at hearing compression or thge examples shown were chosen specifically, but , either way, this was a really helpful, comprehensive guide to help to find the correct compressor for each specific situation. Thanks so much.
ОтветитьWow I really dont like the CLA-2A (wave) but that Slate Fg 2A sound complety different !!
ОтветитьThank you so much!
ОтветитьMike where the hell you been?
Ответить🔥🔥🔥...👍TOP👍...🔥🔥🔥 Thanks !
Ответитьvery important video.... Thanks a lot bro 😀🙏
ОтветитьAny chance you could do this with real compressors instead of plugins?
ОтветитьCan you make a video about what makes a compressor a mastering unit? I wish I understood why mastering compressors are so expensive and what makes them different
ОтветитьExcellent michael! Great refresher
ОтветитьHonestly? People say I write quite interesting music. And I am doing my best to learn about these effects like compression, etc. But sometimes it's really hard for me to hear the difference between processed and unprocessed sounds.
ОтветитьAwesome Video! Cheers from a BlackBird academy student ✨
ОтветитьSubtitle missing
ОтветитьWhat monitors are those on the back?
Ответитьthis is sooo good
ОтветитьThanks for the helpful video. Curious for transparency, did you used the logic/another software plugins to showcase these, or the rack units? I'm always interested in plugin recreation vs physical units, and didn't hear any mention of your examples- thanks.
ОтветитьI love the tube compressor.
ОтветитьThe fet compressor is similar to the CLA 76 by waves?
ОтветитьGreat video Michael! Thanks a lot
Ответитьthanks !
Ответитьi don't know too much about english, can someone explain what the best compressor can be used by each context?
ОтветитьThank you for this, extremely informative!
ОтветитьThis 12 mins just helped me more than 10 years of reading bickering on gearslutz. Great job
ОтветитьMy current Vari-Mu clones are "Tone Empire - Firechild" and "Overloud Gem Comp670". Definitely check them out. Both offer free demos
Ответить🔥🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьI love you, Thank you!!!!
Ответитьyep thank you bro i turn to use n e comp trying hard to get what i need out of the audio but i guese my problm is there in your video...lol thank you again..
ОтветитьGreat video. Bit surprised that you didn't mention the knee of vari-mu compressors. That's their appeal.... for signals just hitting the threshold, the ratio will be gentle. But as you drive the input harder (and further past the threshold) the ratio increases.
ОтветитьThanks for this video - excellent masterclass!
ОтветитьI just want a compressor that will give me a clean SMOOTH,3D weighted vocal ANY idea what to get
ОтветитьDo I need any of those if I already own Fabfilter Pro-C ?
ОтветитьWhat is best for pumping drums?
ОтветитьLove this! Great video. Very informative and straight to the point.
