I just bought 2 of these for my son & his GF - they are trying to save for a house
ОтветитьWatching this in january 2024. Boy, cash stuffing has evolved so much!
ОтветитьI recommend: that You can get a lock box & keep it at home. With extra envelopes that have cash in them for when you want to spend them. This might make some people feel safer.
ОтветитьGreat info Kelly, thank you, but "they didn't know (before) what that wallet was for, now they do! Lol. j/k, thanks again.
ОтветитьJust start using cash and I hate it because I’m tempers like I go count the money twice at the cash register handover the money I stare at her like I hope to God that’s the correct amount lol been so rushed, putting money in my pocket or purse
ОтветитьCash envelopes are a good idea. But do you cash pay your bills and spend time running around place to place to pay bills?
Ответить100 dollars for 2 weeks of groceries ???
ОтветитьWhy can't our schools teach stuff like this rather than wastful spending on who is a male ? Who is a female? Like Dah !
Alot of people respond wishing they would have started this earlier and saved and got more serious with these cssh
I have 15 cash envelop system. 5 for weekly spending. 1 for rent. 1 for extra rent money in case I can't wait until I actually get more income on the 3rd of every month, have extra rent amount to pay before the 3rd to avoid late fee penalty. 1 for public utility. 1 for cash error and extra money; this past month my bank gave me too much money than I had asked for, and I didn't want to pay other fees to put them on my CU Money card after she had just gotten the others added to that card. And am also using that for extra money that I have remaining left after the week is up. 1 for only coins but take out coins once I get home and add them to the other coins; using only for stamps and change to my utility bill since I am forced to pay utility in cash. 1 for misc. savings. 1 for emergency savings. 1 for buying a new van and pay van's insurance bill. 1 for tithing; 10 percent of my income. And 1 for Bank savings that I take out of the bank after all my other bills are paid electronically, autopay. I only keep the cents on the card to avoid being charged for having nothing on the card. Have 1 for only coupons. 1 for insurance and misc. financial cards. 1 for label stickers to label more envelops when I come up with another envelop idea to use for. 1 for only small sticker calendar to know what day it is. And 1 for blank papers to keep notes on and with an envelope that I need to remind myself about. I have 18 envelopes in all for my system.
ОтветитьHave all the cash for the whole month out to prevent from going to the bank every single week. Also save on gas. But own a cash lock box and lock the money in the locked cash box until the following week. This could be your "at home bank". I have 2 different cash lock boxes. Just got new keys this past week since couldn't find the original keys for them. I have not that much saved money to start using either of my cash lock boxes, yet, but got new sets of their keys to be already prepared for using them. I have the one sets in my house, and the second, spare sets somewhere else in case I lose these keys again.
ОтветитьOk just curious say you have 100 for groceries and you use 90 do You put the $10 back in the grocery category or put the $10 somewhere else
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьI take caah out as running to store! Also trick people by having a fake wallet
ОтветитьGreat info!
ОтветитьKelly what is the name of your wallet here? I don't see the link thank you!!
ОтветитьIt's a no brainer that you should only carry the money you plan on spending on any given day, not your entire monthly budget.
ОтветитьI wish stuff like this was taught in high school. Budget. Set aside. Save up. It hurts when I think back at all the wasteful spending I’ve done over the years. I still do sometimes, it’s a process, but I’m doing better than before. For me, once a certain amount is allocated towards something, it is no longer available for me to spend however else I want. I am tempted to steal from my emergency fund, but I’ve done well not to touch anything. Like I said, work in progress. I feel so much better when I need to pay for something and go into the envelope assigned to it, pull out the cash and pay for it. I don’t freak out so much about where it’s coming from. I really, really wish I’d started sooner.
ОтветитьWhat do you do with your extra money at the end of the month? Do you go to the bank or you get extra for the next month? Although I don't think you will have anything left trying to live on $50 wk for food
ОтветитьDo you not buy things like Starbucks bottled coffee? Just two bottles of coffee are $5 ea and then the Starbucks Frappe bottles are $6 for a 4 pack. A gallon of whole milk is almost $6 and that's before buying any food
ОтветитьHow do you live on $50 wk for groceries? I'm in CA and I don't think that would be possible
ОтветитьDang when I go out to eat at one restaurant the total is over $50 lol
ОтветитьThis was sooo easy to understand! Thanks for breaking it down!
ОтветитьWhat do you do when you have cash left?
ОтветитьStfu get on with the system
ОтветитьFinally someone who explained this system. Everyone else was just not showing shit. Ty ma'am
ОтветитьI lose cash. I use elctronic envelopes.
ОтветитьNice true
ОтветитьHow do i get started
ОтветитьI loved this video, but what do you do when you have to make big purchases like big hospital bills or dental work?
ОтветитьI just wished where we are currently living would get back to the basics... it’s been so hard to stick to our budget due to cashless transactions only 😭
ОтветитьSo if they steal your wallet you will sill need to get debit card replaced and potentially loose out $200 . I rather just get the debit card replaced ,. Someone stole mine and the process was easy , the thieves tried using my card but it was a no go . They didn’t get a dime
ОтветитьInteresting concept, but I personally rather get cash back by using my credit card as a debit card. Do you use any credit card to get points or cash back?
ОтветитьMe too this system really works for me i can manage in and out on my finance.
ОтветитьI am very impressed with your cash envelope. Our money is UK Pounds. I have used US dollars on my travels. Years ago when I first heard about Dave Ramsey I wished to get a cash envelope purse.
Ответитьis there a wallet like this for men?
Ответитьplus if you know you have $200 a month for groceries in a month and there’s still half the month left and you’re down to $80, you’re less likely to overspend that week cause you know it’s gotta last
ОтветитьWhere did you purchase the cash wallet. I love it and I think that it would work for me. I am on a budget fransy trying really hard to get myself organize.
ОтветитьWhat do you do with the money left over after your two weeks?
ОтветитьWhen you said if something is 51$ I literally said "you pay the difference with your debit" 🤦♀️ Restarting and paying attention. 😳
ОтветитьAnybody know of a male envelope wallet? I only see female versions.
ОтветитьI’ve been using cash for the past couple of months and it’s soooo true that I’m much less likely to spend my physical cash than I am to swipe my card. I’m considering starting the envelope method! Right now I just have all of my cash hoarded in one envelope😂
ОтветитьThe proven system is great..
ОтветитьLove your simple system! Something I actually have time to do! ❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьI want to see your grocery list. i'm single and buy minimally and spend close to 100 a week. are you only eating a meal a day?!? 4 oz meals? ramen only? same thing every day?
ОтветитьThank you for your video! A question that I have is do you actually take your paycheck and cash the whole thing? I have seen some videos where they cash the whole paycheck and then put the cash back in the account for online payments such as mortgage and such.
ОтветитьHow would you recommend budgeting when your spouse gets paid weekly and you get paid monthly?
Ответить$50 eating out lol 😂 where ? McDonald’s?
ОтветитьSmart system it also makes sense how you could just budget it out then go to the bank and withdrawal the money when it’s time to spend it
ОтветитьNice!
