ОтветитьI.S.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Magnificenza globale.
Wow. Igor Stravinsky may have been one of the most brilliant composers of his time, and for time to come. With Stravinsky and other composers like him, no music can compare. Mr. Stravinsky looked so amazing conducting this, and I have heard that this was his last ever role as a conductor before passing away in 1971. So amazing. If there is any kind of music that will live on, it's the classical era. Fantastic job to this orchestra, under the direction of Igor Stravinsky himself.
ОтветитьUn video bellissimo.
My favorite 20th Century composer...
Excellent Performance by the Master of Music. Thank you. Out.
Ответитьoh. my. goodness. Having written it, Stravinsky had been conducting the score for 47 years--so completely in musical control, so economical and strong. And the TSO of 1967--all first chair players, what an energetic ensemble. Thank you SO SO very much for this wonderful film footage. Seeing the high curving balcony rails of old Massey Hall--for those of us who cut our orchestral teeth there, it gives an indescribable feeling. Great hall, great sound, great musical memories.
Ese GRACIAS del final... Que Grandeza! Bravo Maestro!
This appearance was in spring 1967 when Stravinsky was 84 and fairly frail - this was part of a contemporary documentary entitled Stravinsky at 85. It was indeed his final appearance as a performer (which the documentary doesn't refer to since it had not been established when it was released). Stravinsky attended one or more concerts conducted by Robert Craft after this (February 1968) and took a bow (naturally). So this is not strictly speaking his last appearance in public.
That's just so stupid nowadays- stupid REACTION, CHALLENGE videos, or bullshit like this idk... watchin millions of people, but Straviskiy BY HIMSELF conducting his masterpieces- oh, just 6 thousand. ok.
He looked so full of life when he was conducting, but he was a frail old man. A genius, but also a man.
Orchestra is certainly right on for sure, what year is this taking place?
Stravinsky's last public appearance! Thank you very much John Randolph!
