5x5 Rectal Cancer Treatment Protocol | Q&A

Diagnosed with rectal cancer on december 12, 2023. The mass is on my anal verge. I am scheduled to start the 5x5 at the beginning of February and about a month after that is complete i will start 6 3 week cycles of chemo.....the hipe is that the mass shrinks enough that the can remove it and repair the rectum without me having to get a permanent colostomy bag.....

My mother was daignosed with rectal cancer stage 3 , they did surgery for her at first then followed by chemo and radiation, is the treatment right?
