One cruise an adult in front of me picked up a piece of chicken and started to eat as she continued looking at other foods. I said outloud that's just gross and took my plate and walked away i
ОтветитьI have yet to go on any cruises, partially because I have a dairy allergy and was worried about there not being many options that I would enjoy. It's good to hear that they're being accomodating now!
ОтветитьYour voice is annoying
ОтветитьOn our last cruise we rarely went to the buffet. It was very slim pickings. I was more comfortable sitting in one of the restaurants being served.
ОтветитьEverything is crowded. People on cruises need to practice patience and understanding.
ОтветитьI have been on only one cruise so far, and this was with Royal Caribbean just a couple of years ago. I was a single passenger. The problem I ran into was when I got my food and other items and sat down, whenever I needed something else and got up to get it, a member of the dinning room staff would clear my table of everything. This became very annoying, and even one time I had to yell over to my table and tell them to get away from my table. Royal Caribbean obviously teaches them to clean the tables, but not to use common sense to see if the occupants were still using the table.
ОтветитьAnother buffet tip, at least if you're able-bodied. "Look" at everything before you "touch" anything. This was way, you'll take what you want most, rather than what you see first!
Also, if you don't like anything, don't finish it. There's too much good food to enjoy!
Another thing is to wash your hands before and after you fix your plate in the buffet. Cause remember you're all touching the same utensils to grab the food....I bet too many people don't think about this. If you touch something somebody else has touched, wash your hands afterward before you eat anything and touch your face.
ОтветитьJeez, Humans are so strange, if they miss a meal they are going to die😆

Good information.Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьGreat ideas I’ll follow your advice

ОтветитьPet peeve of mine is when people talk over the buffet and possibly spitting as they talk. For instance asking the server a question about the food. Ask your/a waiter on the side.
Ответить1. Eat more than you can eat? 2. Have sex in the dining room.
ОтветитьPeople need to be remember to use a new plate each trip to the food. One one cruise we saw people take food off their plate with their fingers and put it back in the serving container. We also saw people take their plates that they just ate off of to get more food.
ОтветитьI never use the buffet we always go to the restaurant for all meals they are always very quiet so therefore the meals come out very quickly
ОтветитьThat woman was a dirty pig. I cant believe you LET her put her dirty dishes on your table.
ОтветитьWash hands first. Never touch the serving spoons at food buffet without gloves or use a napkin then toss. Use hand sanitizer.
Ответитьboringggggggggggggggg all you said was just common sense stuff ! boringggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
ОтветитьI always go to the pool side grill and have a cheeseburger, fries and a Diet Coke. It is a tradition.
ОтветитьI've been on three Celebrity cruises. The buffet was excellent. I enjoyed trying different food, like curry and paella, but I couldn't get into the "full English breakfast!" It was difficult to find a table during peak times, so my companion and I would find a table first and take turns going to get food. We learned it was impossible to juggle a plate, cutlery and a drink, and found it better to make two trips. You had to hold your cup right under the spout of the ice dispenser. If you sat it down and then pushed the button, the ice would fly out, knock the cup over and scatter all over the counter and floor. Very minor complaints, I know. Hope I'll get to go again!
ОтветитьNo fat chicks in thongs or yoga pants thats nasty
ОтветитьA lady with a cane slap it down on a table as we getting ready to sit down at that table very rude this is why I don’t have respect for the elderly people
ОтветитьI hardly ever eat at the buffet because through the years not just on cruise ships I have seen people being so gross. My system is exceptionally sensitive so I have to be careful. After having sepsis from we guessed tomatoes from a local restaurant I’m even worse than before. My bp was 60/40 with no pulse when they loaded me in the ambulance and yes I was still conscious. Next cruise I’ll be even more careful.
ОтветитьI remember seeing a kid (probably around 12yrs old) just cut in front of me to grab food with his hand and run off. He did it so quickly. Also when ships returned to cruising post Covid, I saw several adults walk right past the hand washing stations and to the buffet. Meanwhile the lady by the sinks is still saying " Washy washy". Even if you wash your hands when you leave your room, you are still touching rails and pushing elevator buttons etc..
ОтветитьTaking a piece of fruit or a yogurt back to your cabin might be okay. But I've seen people carrying full plates of hot food, uncovered, through the hallways. It's not only messy, but unsafe if spills occur. Please be considerate of other guests.
ОтветитьAt breakfast always TELL YOUR WAITER YOU WONT BE IN FOR LUNCH IF YOU ARE GOING ASHORE.This helps them to know exactly who will be coming in to eat so gives them some idea of how much PRESCIOUS TIME THEY MIGHT HAVE OFF DUTY.
ОтветитьThank you...informative and great commentary....i will say this about dress code on 1 particular ship i have gone on 4 times but WONT GO AGAIN....AS in the 1st 3 cruises on this particular cruiseline, THE CAPTAINS DINNER WAS ALWAYS A FORMAL DINNER WITH A DRESS CODE( IM SURE OUT OF RESPECT FOR THE CAPTAIN, WHICH I LOVED)....WOMAN: DRESSES, LONG OR SHORT, 2 PIECE DRESS OR PANTS SUITS, ECT....MEN: DRESS SLACKS, COLLAR SHIRTS, TIES, ECT....no shorts, tshirts, belly shirts, tanks, flip flops....and VERY NICELY AT THE RESTAURANT ENTRANCE, GUESTS THAT DECIDED THEY WOULD COME AS THEY PLEASED WERE TOLD OF THE NUMEROUS "OTHER EATING DINING AREAS THAT THEY COULD GO TO IN "any attire", and HONESTLY I NEVER SAW A PROBLEM WITH ANY GUEST ARGUING OR CAUSING A SCENE AS THE DINING ROOM CLEARLY STATED ONLY FORMAL WEAR ......FAST FOWARD TO MY LAST CRUISE WITH THEM....CAPTAINS DINNER, AGAIN CLEARLY STATING FORMAL ATTIRE.....i was the only one waiting in line with a floor length dress on.....shorts, tanks, flip flops, ect....i ASKED IF I HAD THE WRONG NITE THERE, AND WAS TOLD NO....I FELT SOOOOO OUT OF PLACE....I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY BECAME SO LAXED IN ALLOWING GUESTS TO COME AS YOU ARE TO A "FORMAL CAPTAINS DINNER".... and before anyone gets mad at me, 😂, sorry, but FORMAL IS FORMAL, and there are obviously numerous other restaurants to go to AS IS!....LOL.....also, empty liquor bottles rolling around on decks at nite, unruly drunks in the all nite opened pizza area, throwing food, yelling, screaming, ect.....and NOT 1 of them was asked to stop, leave, or refrain from swearing... NEVER AGAIN....
ОтветитьI cant believe people would actually do some of these things. 😢
ОтветитьDressing for dinner should not be controversial. For crying out loud, you can go 60 minutes not looking like you just got off the beach or finished mowing the damn lawn.
Ответитьmake sure your eyes 👀 are not bigger than your stomach :)
ОтветитьAlso be mindful of people on mobility scooters please
ОтветитьHi, I know this was posted a while back, so I’m taking your word on a few things.
We haven’t cruised since Jan.2020.
We cruise on Carnival. All I can say is, I certainly hope the buffet food is getting better. I don’t know if just on the small ships or if the food has really gone downhill.
We have decided not to book on the smaller ships anymore.
Here is the official meal times for all cruises everywhere (except Mordor.) All guests are expected to eat a full serving or plate at each meal, no exceptions:
Breakfast - 7 a.m.
Second Breakfast - 9 a.m.
Elevenses - 11 a.m.
Luncheon - 1 p.m.
Afternoon Tea - 3 p.m.
Dinner - 6 p.m.
Supper - 9 p.m.
(There is also a midnight meal, but it is optional.)
My biggest mistake has always been forgetting which stations/options are open and when. I'll save room during Elevensies for a nice big burrito at lunch, but the taco bar is closes at noon and I have to have burger instead. Every. Single. Time.
I watched a kid eat mashed potatoes off the serving spoon. 🤮. I told the cruise before anyone used it. Kids shouldn’t be allowed alone at buffet.
ОтветитьI’m glad that I purchased the food and premium liquor package ! Because I found the buffet food to be pretty gross 🤮
ОтветитьWe make it a rule to never eat in the buffet. Maybe HAL where they serve you. Otherwise and usually never. Many people do not wash their hands.
ОтветитьHow do you keep from passengers coughing and sneezing their Covid germs on community serving utensils ?
ОтветитьWe personally loved it when we were served in the buffet right after they reopened after Covid. We saw so much less wasted food.
ОтветитьHate it when people re-fill water bottles directly from the spout. They completely ignore the signs that say to use a clean cup . 🤢
ОтветитьWas so excited for the fabulous fruit choices. Until my son came up to me and said, don't get the fruit😕. He said the guy in front of him used the grapefruit serving spoon in all the fruit. I'm extremely allergic to grapefruit. I usually do not eat at buffets just for that reason. Never know if prep staff cleans equipment between different produce.
Was a bummer, but had no issues in the dining room.
One thing to add is same goes with drinks (not sure if I missed it in the video) ALWAYS get a new cup. Went on my first cruise last year and made that mistake 😂. So use to just refilling my cup at home restaurants lol
ОтветитьPeople NOT PROPERLY BATHING & USING DEODORANT is a big thing too! Noone wants to smell someone in line or adjacent table waiting & getting & eating food. NOT using the provided utensils to get your food.!!
ОтветитьI hate using the utensils at the buffet. I believe it is the primary cause of sickness on board. Not everyone washes their hands effectively and a box of throw away gloves is really required. I bring my own. What is your opinion?
ОтветитьBuffet's are hog barns.....the big difference is is that hogs eat everything.
These rules apply everywhere, when going out eating... dress appropriately, and think about the people around you. Don't waste time talking, making decisions and holding up the line.
I Love the cruise ship buffets & eat most of my meals there. Less than a week ago we just got off a cruise & in the buffet I saw a man walk up grab a muffin with his bare hand & walk away!
ОтветитьGreat video. I started watching your videos last year as a beginner before giving stock and crypto market a trial. I was able to make $17,300 in one month with a capital of $4,000 trading with an experience expert who guided me through out my trading.
ОтветитьHow are you
ОтветитьHi, I'm going on my first cruise in Feb. I really like your videos--soo helpful.
