Not a great performance on the poor Surface. Microsoft has made Windows for ARM, so switching to ARM should be a no brainer.

The 8 Go Macbook Air is 400€ more expensive than the 8Go Surface laptop 5. I'm under the impression that the "same price comparison" is either rigged or tied to a very specific time period.

There is absolutely no reason to buy a surface laptop if you do not need to run windows natively. However, surface has a much much better keyboard. I own both of these and if you are one who types a lot on a laptop keyboard you'll surely like the one on surface. The macbook air keyboard is just subpar.

when we talk about apple most people say that they built their own software and hardware thats why they are optimized and now where windows optimization has gone

This video is very helpful when you are considering which of the two laptops to choose. I was excited to test Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 until I opened Zoom Meeting! It is just disappointing. I don't understand why the camera quality is low at 720p. I used Micorosoft Surface Book 2 (released 2017) and it has better camera quality with 1080p(!) than Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 (released 2022). Since Covid-19 home office work is important, so many people are looking for the better camera quality! So disappointing.

Instead of focussing on photo and video editing, which is perhaps 1-2% of users, why don’t you review what 99% of users do, which is email, browsing, and Office? I suspect Office performance on large spreadsheets will be dreadful on the Mac, for example.

Tired of slowness of windows frequent hangs performance issues with Windows, shifted to mac and feel like it’s the best decision ever.

Look Apple silicon is the industry benchmark. That said, Windows and Intel can run software Mac and even AMD chipsets can’t. Surface has a touchscreen, Apple still is too dumb to add a touchscreen.

How does MS fail so badly to equal the MB Air is most tasks? I'm curious for an explanation. Getting a Windows Laptop makes as I'm an Android user but I'm leaning towards getting a MB

Surface hands down. Way more usage of programs and applications. I have tremendous respect for Apple, but Microsoft will always take the crown in that territory for now.

Never a fair comparison between 2 different OS eco systems, but both amazing devices nonetheless. That's really what it's going to boil down to in my opinion.

Problem is its so so so limiting! Just can't seem to use it how I want! Have to do it how Apple wants us to! No thank you!
