Chef, Till the end you did not mention the ratio of coffee powder to water 😢

My mom used to prepare the decoration in night around 10.00 Pm for next day coffee. Early morning we used to get the steaming hot best coffee and The Hindu newspaper- what a time we had. Now missing those days.

I haven't done it personally, but I am planning to.

Can i use a moka pot for filter coffee ? It seems like moka pot takes less time to prepare the decoction, but will i get the authentic taste with a decoction prepared in moka pot ?

Very Nicely Presented . When you mentioned the 3 variety of Coffee beans , you have not told the perfect ratio of these 3 for getting coffee grinded . Of these 3 types of Beans which is flavour ?, which is for Thickness ? and what is the medical benefits of Chicory ? Is chicory good for health? kindly clarify . Give us more clarity on the types of coffee beans .

I remember during my School Days , we had a Coffee Machine. A Gadget we used to Fix to a Table. My Mom used to roast the Green Coffee Seeds in the Evening n Cool it. Then we used to hand grind the Roasted Seeds in the Coffee Machine. Fresh Coffee Powder made at home. We used to have a Shop near Chembur Station selling Green Coffee Seeds. We used to purchase it. Don't know if it is still around now.

My Hubby is a Maharashtrian n he loves Filter Coffee.
At 5 am , every morning n at 3 pm , I prepare Filter Coffee.
He does not know how to make the Decoction. Even if I make it n keep it stored in a Vessel , still his Coffee tastes different.
He Doesn't drink Tea.
I usually prepare it by following Chef Venkatesh Bhat method. Decoction comes out very Strong.
Must try your method to prepare the Froth
No Sugar for us. I use Jaggery powder.
Mix the powder with some amount of Decoction in a Glass n add it to Coffee after I mix the Milk n Decoction. This way the Coffee does not turn.
