Twitter has been a hellhole for many many years and its botting problem hasn't gotten fixed even after Elon purchased it, though the community notes are a nice addition.

Reddit is a natural echo chamber and its moderators are about as trustworthy as Twitch mods. But it's less of a cesspool or pretty chill if you find the right reddit, or worse then Twitter if you find the wrong one.

Whichever one you peruse, the age old adage of the internet "Lurk More" remains very true. Also do not feed the troll.

People always talk about reddit main page, but forgot that reddit's technicals and hobbies forums are one of the best because it's easier to go to reddit and ask things, compared to individual web forums.

Example is subreddit for programming, design, writing, books, mental health, etc. They're so much better than reading through a website with one person's opinions that's heavily influenced by sponsors endorsement.
