My dad passed away last night. My beloved shared this song with me a moment ago and I'm drowning in tears. 💔 What a beautiful song. I've heard it before, but it never resonated...

What a song. For everyone missing their dad, not sure this is the end, sure we’ll all be reunited one day. Hope so anyway.

When I listened to Bread and this song the first time, I thought it was a typical Bread love song. It isn't, of course, as it's about his dad. That fact touches me too. My dad died when I was 8 in 1968. He's been gone a long time. Another man came into my life as a step-dad and he died in 2002. His loss was big too.

I cry every time I hear this song. Both my parents are gone now and I'm so heartsick for them. I miss them so much. I'm married and have a family of my own. But I can't get past the heartbreak .It's been 8 years since my dad died and almost three since my mom. I still think about them each and everyday.
