I find the price really reasonable but it's the shipping that could end up costing depending where you're ordering from
Ответитьcould it be installed inside of the rig and not outside?
ОтветитьCool vid. Love your demeanor 👍🏻
ОтветитьHey mate, great video, I had no idea about this company. Do you reckon it's possible to put furniture sliders under the vibration isolators so the rig can be moved short distances? I've found that wheel's dent my carpet so I've been sticking to furniture sliders until I can find a better solution
ОтветитьWhy not using both system? The Slip Angle for terrain and bumps and the cushion for maybe traction feedback
Ответитьhey mate, have you figured out a way to add this kit to an 80/20 rig that is already mounted on wheels? My frame has to be on wheels, so I can push it out of the way of my telly when not racing - but I can't figure out if I can have these wheels, but also have the transducers mounted? The spring mounting system doesn't seem like it'd work?
ОтветитьWhat casters are you using on that rig? Can they be levered up or down when needed?
ОтветитьStupid question but can some wheel casters be mounted to the bottom of these isolators?
Ответитьi like your pokemon pikachu stickers? nice stuff. thanks for video karl
ОтветитьI had a 4 transducer setup but I could never get the levels balanced and that really bothered my OCD. And also, I don't believe the frequency of vibration is dynamically set by reading in-game telemetry (you set frequency per effect) except for things like engine vibration. In some instances using the audio is better for more dynamics assuming you can isolate those sound channels (e.g. rumble strips). Not to mention the transducers were sooo loud.
I found a 4-actuator motion setup was sooo much more satisfying just for simple vibrations. It would be interesting if a company made a low-cost low-travel actuator system that wasn't used for full-on motion but just for more robust vibrations
Is this the 100W or 300W kit? Their website has both.
ОтветитьHow well do these work with console gaming? I feel it won't be as immersive as with a pc but i don't know.
ОтветитьI have had the slip angle for about a year now. Love it. It dampens the vibration like he says. It also delivers really detailed tactile feedback per corner when set up. the only upgrade from this is a full motion sfx set up. worth every penny for slip angle. reference, I live in NYC.
Ответитьwould mounting direct to the bottom of the seat be better? More efficient, more fidelity, more feedback, less noise for the wife?
ОтветитьGreat video and product. I am currently into a DIY set up because its enjoyable but under normal circumstances and massive laziness I would normally be buying something like this. Do they sell individual components or is it only available as a complete kit?
ОтветитьKarl: "I'm a man who appreciates some weight, errrr; I'm a man who appreciates a good knob...ohhhh...that came out wrong..." - classic! This vid is gold just because of this. All fun aside though, I'm exclusively a flight sim guy but your videos are absolutely on point for much of what I am trying to do. I currently have a single BK but will likely add / replace this with a slip-angle setup. Your review convinced me and thanks to the price point of the slip angle, it's not as much of a bite out of my wallet as an expansion of the BK setup would be. Thanks for the great work you are doing.
ОтветитьThe guy that emailed you having a winge is a bellend mate. Keep up the great content legend ✌️
ОтветитьGreat review. I'm interested in this with the Trak Racer TRX. How would you mount it with a tubular system?
ОтветитьHello good video but where can I buy these feathers?
ОтветитьWhat’s the uncompressed height of the spring isolator? I’m wondering what the disengagement height would be, as well as needing to clear the guide walls
Ответитьthey don’t send to small tiny islands
Ответитьa simple double layer of washmachine dampeners does the job as well.
still nice to see someone offering a ready to use package though.
@Karl Gosling Thanks for the overview! I do a lot of high end DIY builds on everything from 3D printers to extruded aluminum builds to acrylic aquariums. Typically I design in CAD and build from there. Just roughly estimating this it will cost as much if not more to build excluding the time involved. So the price on this product seems pretty good... With all that said, what concerns me a little bit are the mounting brackets. From what I can tell the seem a little bit on the flimsy side. Maybe a thicker gauge steel would be better? Or am I not seeing that correctly?
Cheers,
Greg
can you tell me what seat belt you have I need one that long I have a real sparco adjustable chair. thanks if you see this and respond
ОтветитьI'm really curious how Simhub reads the audio in? From looking up the amp, the usb in is only for a usb key and not PC connectivity. I must be missing something.😊
ОтветитьThank you Karl! Very useful video. I bought immediately the kit and I am impatient to mount it. Please can you activated the automatic translation in different languages. It will be mach more easy for some of us. Thank you
ОтветитьIm guessing this will also simulate abs lock up and lose of traction?
ОтветитьOrdered it and just be aware, it will take 20-30 days to deliver to the US. Cant wait to try it!
ОтветитьCould this attach to Playseat Trophy?
ОтветитьJust ordered this kit based on this review. Can’t wait for delivery in 35 days 😀
ОтветитьNice. Next investment at the end of the year for me!
Ответитьnothing better than a solid, firm knob
ОтветитьI can appreciate a man that appreciates a good knob…..or um…..dial!
ОтветитьNo discount code Karl... damn
ОтветитьAwesome video Karl thank you - definitely makes me think I need to buy some isolators. Quick question - do you have anywhere we can see your simhub bass shaker settings or download them? I'm just starting to learn it and would love to see a load of values setup to try and help with that.
ОтветитьHey Karl, I have 2 buttkickers gamer 2 and the SRS UShake 6 seat cover. Will this play friendly and work together with them? As I'd like to move the two buttkickers to other parts of my rig. OR would I even need this if I already have the SRS UShake6? Thank you!
ОтветитьNice video, ty! Got 2 questions: I have a Simetik cockpit/rig K2, the old version. I have a monitor support attach directly to the rig for my Samsung 49'' NEO G9. I have a single buttkicker under my seat and a HF8 pad. So far, not to worry about the shaking transmitted to the support monitor. But, with this shaker kit/system , what is your opinion for the shaking transmitted to the monitor support, can it be to much? 2nd question: did you think I can fix this system on my Simetik K2 rig? Maybe if I make holes and use good bolting. Ty, continue the good work!
ОтветитьGreat videos. Please add lbs to the screen when talking about kg. Thanks.
ОтветитьWill this work with a GT omega titan rig?
ОтветитьNow if only they gave you a discount code too :) Thanks for the review Karl.
ОтветитьHey Buddy… how can I get rollers like the ones you have on ur rig?
ОтветитьKarl I like your videos and I actually reached out to slip anble asking them to send it to you and boosted media to get a proper review.....your review was great for setup but lacking in explaining the actual feel any chance of a proper follow up
ОтветитьI just order a kit hoppefully the shipping wont take so long. So hyped 😊
ОтветитьNever tried the four corner setup. Mine are attached to four corners of the seat. It reduces the total power need sent to the dayton pucks. Solid fiberglass racing seat is good for mounting and transferring the vibrations. Running a rseat v2 f1 rig so the four corners option is not available like a 80/20 rig. Thanks for the review.
ОтветитьYou cant DIY this kit for half the money. To be totally honest, this with current prices is a steal. I've a DIY one under my seat currently and want to add 4 like this. Its £90 for the amp alone without the transducers and everything else and even then, you lose what is arguably the biggest appeal of this kit, and that's the AV mounts and brackets so you can actually use them without having to worry about neighbours/ wife etc. I've also totted up all the parts or equivalent of this kit (again without the mounts and brackets) comes to £397.... Again, this kit is a bargain.
ОтветитьThanks for the detailed video Karl. This is definitely a very interesting kit! I already have 2 of the same transducers (beneath the pedals and seat) that I love, do you think this would be a good addition to the sim experience (other than isolation)?
Also, my rig has 4 wheels as I need to slide in the rig under the monitors stand, and I saw you have some retractile wheels, right? Any information on that would be much appreciated. Thanks so much Karl!!!
Love the idea of using transducers at all the wheel points but could these be adapted to fit a tubular rig (tr8 pro) or is there another product that would?
ОтветитьMaybe I missed it but did you review the effect of the transducers on the driving experience? It seemed to mostly be a review of the kit contents, the install process, the effect of the isolator mounts and a review of your email inbox. Is the driving experience covered in a different video?
ОтветитьI imagine the isolation feet allow the rig to experience more vibration movements since it’s effectively floating on the springs.
