First off, I dig your videos so anything I suggest here comes from a place of wanting your life to be easier.

1) Learn how to do some good square lashes and Arbor knots, you will use so much less cordage with these and spend less time on tying things off.
2) Try and keep one side of the roof higher and one lower by a decent amount so you get less downward pressure on your roof from fallen snow or branches. Gives them a good chance to fall off.
3) Don't rely on butane heaters in snowy conditions, if the gas gets too cold, they won't work.

Aside from that, your videos are really cool and inventive, you're a smart cookie.

I have the same cookware, do you know the handle on the frying pan locks, if you slide the metal bit forward?

Saran wrap is now made of.polyethylene, which is quite transparent to infrared. Some other plastics block infrared better. For better insulation, multiple layers with a small air gap between would work better. Interesting experiment though.

I know uou put this out awhile ago, but if you make anymore, look up boy scout lashings, you can tie with wraps and fraps that will make tight joints between your poles so they will be really strong. My troop builds towers 20 feet high they can climb and sit on top of, made of nothing but rope and cut tree limbs
