Alexander Dmitriev, 1997: Cubana Aquarella Rumba, Fancelli

Alexander Dmitriev, from the beautiful city of St. Petersburg, is a bayan professor & virtuoso with a wide repertiore ranging from Russian folk to classic to contemporary to jazz. He has done over 2000 solo concerts around the world & over 15 recordings on records, CDs & DVDs. Check out his website.
At the end of a long tiring workshop, I surprised Alexander by asking him to play this popular rumba by the talented Italian composer, Fancelli. He said he hadn't played it in awhile but will try; it turned out mostly great. The hammering you hear are the carpet installers next door, giving Alexander another challange.
