How To Reset AirPods From Previous Owner

Thanks dude, now the GUY can’t track my address, now I got new AirPods.

I lost my left earbud at the mall and I’ve watched them travel all the way to Miami on the Find My App. I still have the case so is the person who took them even able to use them?

I found the airpods in lost mode, connected them and the message that they were lost appeared, then I did a factory reset on them and they were already connected to my icloud. Now can the previous owner see their last location before the factory reset?

i bought a replacement pod from ebay because i lost my right one, and when i put it in the case with the left one i get a mismatch error and it won’t reset. does anyone know a solution to this?

I've tried this about 10 times and when I try to switch on the Find My Network it's telling me to contact the previous owner to ask them to remove the AirPods. But I have no idea who the guy is.

You also have to reset each individual pod along with the charging case or you will still be tracked by the original owner.

So you lost it or stolen you can’t get it back basically coz the person who found it or stole it will reset it and keep it am I correct?

Recently my wife asked me my airpod pro 2 and she try to connect my airpod pro2 with her iPhone and she accidentally hold it longer until white lite start amber and then shee connected after that am unable to access anything from my phone.. not even find my.
Air pod name changed to her name
Than when she returned it’s showing on my device it’s not your device..😮 i am shocked.

That’s great I was getting paranoid with my own because I gave them to my brother and then get these tracking notifications always like he knows where I am😂

Make sure you are CONNECTED to the AirPods before you try to reset it because IT WILL NOT WORK! I tried it when I wasn’t connected with my iPhone and still came as someone else’s AirPods. So first connect AND ONLY THEN you can press the button on the back of the AirPods until the amber light turns on. I hope this helps !

Can the old owner still track them?

None of this worked for me. I held the button until it went amber and it still said “AirPods-find my”. And when I put them in my ears they won’t play.
