I prefer this to jump throw
ОтветитьThis kind of highlight is why Jeter won 5 Gold Gloves despite being statistically the worst fielder of all time.
Ответитьsafe at home never even tagged him until he stepped on the plate, great try though
ОтветитьAnyone else feel like Gianni was safe?
ОтветитьA tough 1 bc it look like posada miss it
ОтветитьI remember thinking this was Jason Giambi for so long & how cool it was they played together after this lol
ОтветитьI hate to say it but, was Giambi safe!?
ОтветитьNot even close to being out. Giambi got tagged about a half hour after he stepped on home plate. If review was available then, totally different call. Or then again, maybe not, since the review comes out of NYC.
ОтветитьThe umpires punch out still gives me chills
ОтветитьSLIDE!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьWhy didn’t Jeremy Giambi slide? The spotter was telling him to go down…. I guess he didn’t see Jeter get to that ball.
ОтветитьWould’ve been a great play had the runner been out at home, but he was clearly safe.
ОтветитьAnyone else think he would have been out angels if jester didn’t intercept it?
ОтветитьHere after the Austin Riley relay to 1st
ОтветитьHow many people came back here after the Austin Riley relay to double up harper in tonight's nlds game? For those reading from the future (October 9th, 2023 braves w vs Phillies to tie the series at 1)
ОтветитьIt was a good play by Jete, but I don’t hear anybody pointing out the fact that Giambi was too lazy to do an end of the plate slide.
Ответитьupon further review, the tag came after foot landed on plate...
ОтветитьAm I the only one that thinks he might have been safe?
Ответитьbestwatchedatdoublespeed
ОтветитьLooks like the runner was safe. The catcher's tag was high, and the runner had one foot down on the plate before the glove brushed him. Good thing this didn't take place during the review era. One of the all-time great plays would have been overturned.
ОтветитьStill hasn't tagged Jeremy
ОтветитьThis really is bad baseball. If the runner would have slide, he may have gotten under the tag. The right fielder made a weak throw, that was saved by a super star player.
ОтветитьThis okay is the most overhyped play
ОтветитьRE2PECT
ОтветитьBaseball was life .
Ответитьhe was safe people. sheesh. Watch.. he misses the tag as Giambi steps over him and ONLY when Giambi steps on home plate does the glove make contact with him.. He was safe people.. sorry
Ответить今まで見たメジャーリーグのスーパープレーの中で、文句なく一番だ。地味には見えるが、誰にも真似できない、すごいプレーだと思う。
ОтветитьTomm Brenaman was amazing on this call
ОтветитьSafe
ОтветитьI remember this!
ОтветитьHe was safe
ОтветитьDude would have been out by a mile if Jeter let that go.
ОтветитьMissed the cutoff unbelievable cover by Jeter
ОтветитьThe tag by Posada is almost as impressive as Derek being WAY out of position. If you watch closely, he tags the lead leg and has to swipe it out of the way of the rear leg. Giambi almost knocks the ball loose from the glove. Damn I miss those days.
ОтветитьGiambi was actually safe that's the sad part
ОтветитьHe was safe, tagged on the back of the leg after he stepped on home plate , if there is 1 sport where a camera view shows the true story it is baseball,
I am not biased , no big fan of either team & being nuetral I would have called him safe
Anytime this clip come up you have to watch
ОтветитьActually Giambi arrive safe at the plate, but Jeter play was so amazing that the umpire throw Giambi out.
ОтветитьAll time great play by Jeter on the throw and Pasada with a great tag. I've watched this 100 times and every time I think Giambi is safe. I'm not a fan of either team and did not care about the outcome. Again, terrific play, but the foot seems to touch home right before the tag is applied, at least to me.
ОтветитьShoulda ran Byrnsy…
ОтветитьWow, Giambi was slow. I mean that was painful to watch him getting into top gear there. I wonder if Jeter would’ve been able to make that play if it was a runner that didn’t look like he had a piano on his back
ОтветитьSafe!!
ОтветитьHe was so out of position and should not have been there to make the flip
ОтветитьOver two decades later and I’ll still say the mf’er was safe.
ОтветитьSafe!
ОтветитьHe was safe
ОтветитьSuch an odd play. The ball was on target and Giambi wasn't tagged.
ОтветитьOne of the best sports plays of all time. Period
ОтветитьWith MLB's stupid home plat rule, this would have been reversed.
ОтветитьI've watched it a million times and every time the ball was going straight to the catcher and Giambi would of been out anyways.
