The food scraps are really starting to break down and disappear into the worm bin. The rate at which items are disappearing is faster but some items seem to be unchanged and will probably still need to be buried in the ground or I will need to find some other way to compost them. Chicken bones seem to be the biggest culprit as far as resisting the microbes and worms. However the lobster shells are getting surprisingly soft and easily break apart when I put some pressure on them. Hopefully this is a good sign and the worms will continue to peel away at the minerals holding the shells together!

My goal of reducing my food waste to near zero might be harder than I thought. and I will have to try and find another way.
